It was a great performance too, for about 70 minutes. Then ran out of steam a little. I still don't think it's going to anywhere near 50 points required though
Definitely don't need 9 wins, but anything is possible - would just mean that 2 teams in the bottom 4 sustain playoffs form. If that's where you're coming from, then may as well have gone "11 wins from 13" cos we all know Peterborough went down with 54pts. Just take each game as it comes & hope to enjoy a few more like yesterday...when all our troubles seemed so far away
Great to see the players gaining confidence and enjoying playing again, we've certainly got a fighting chance of staying up.
Won 3 out of 4, if we can win 3 out of the next 4 things will look a lot healthier. Though we could do with Derby’s midweek game being called off so Lawrence is still banned next week. Can anyone call round and flood the pitch? They’re a different team with him in it.
I think if 3 of the 6 are against the other teams in the fight then it might be enough if we can nick 2 or 3 draws as well.
On a couple of occasions 40 points has been enough to stay in this division. 6 wins takes us to 41, so there is a precedent. 5 wins and 4 draws means we’d end on 42. I believe it’s dependent on us winning the 3 games against Derby, Posh and Reading for us to stay up with that kind of total. Maybe we could afford to draw one of them. Could be a good time to play Derby who seem to have stuttered recently.
