    REDS AND CARDIFF CITY BOTH CHARGED
    Club News

    Barnsley FC and Cardiff City FC have been fined £12,000 and £10,000 respectively for breaching FA Rule E20.1 following their EFL Championship fixture on Wednesday 2 February 2022.

    Hang on so we held our hands up and admitted we were in the wrong. Cardiff lied about it and had to be proved guilty and we get the bigger fine
    that makes no sense

    Laumann paying it as the instigator for the second time this season? The article is rather bland and lacking information. We haven't said sorry for the behaviour. We haven't mentioned if those involved will be dealt with.

    Seems that club staff get off a lot lighter than when fans give it the big one and that when club employees do it it's not taken as seriously.

    Claiming innocence and lying are not the same thing, even if the judiciary find you guilty it still doesn't mean you lied.

    Maybe there was some winding up from morrison who is a bellend but for me its no worse than our fans reacting to goading after the huddersfield game. And its the 2nd time hes done it needs to sort his self out.

    I've got to say......... if I did what he did at Oakwell then id be facing a 3 year banning order from ALL football grounds and a fine and possibly community service. Post Huddersfield 25 (and counting) bans within 6 days. Not comparing as I don't know the reason behind last week's bans. I really don't understand the difference if I'm completely honest.

    No he wasn't ( I don't think).
    I witnessed this develop from the West Stand, that Morrison thing went to shake hands and did it in a very aggressive manner (best description).
    At the same time he said something which was obviously confrontational to the 2 of BFC staff he shook hands with. All I can say is whatever he said along with the type of handshake infuriated our dugout gang and they went for him. The other Cardiff dugout gang intervened and the Morrison thing made a sharp exit.
    Laumann pursued him into the tunnel to confront him, he was obviously on a mission!

    Winding up the opposition in order to provoke a reaction is unsavoury, but it's as old as the hills. If the coaching staff can't avoid being sucked in, how can they teach the players to avoid these kind of confrontations?

    If Laumann is feeling frustrated in the dugout, he should try sitting in the bloody stand.

    You have a point but from what I saw with my own eyes I would wager it was more than the usual wind up stuff.
    More a personal insult or worse if you get my drift, hence the reaction which was instantaneous.
