One line stands out here Young Barnsley lad Aiden Marsh also made his full debut, playing in an unfamiliar wide position Smart coaching that, play a youngster on his full debut in a position he isnt used to - no wonder he wasnt all that effective
Pointless even discussing this now, it's a foregone conclusion that if you play for us you just turn up an hour before the game and then wait to see what position the Barnsley lottery machine throws out for you.
I’m going. One of the lads has sorted me out with some tickets as his family can’t make it. can’t make it, or don’t wanna go? I wonder.
This bit hits home to me. If it is a veiled dig at ownership from the media team (I sincerely hope it is) then fair play, cos that shows balls. "Sitting just three points shy of the top six going into this game, the Hatters, under Nathan Jones have gone from strength to strength since returning to the second tier in 2019."
Look forward to seeing you down at the Kenny. We have been in decent form but that rarely means much. Starts all square on the day. A win could take us to the play-off places for the night. Since Adebayo signed we have gone a lot more direct and battling, definitely not for the purists but it is much more effective than tippy tapping it around. Not sure we have scored many pretty goals this season, usually pokes in the six yard box after a scramble - but who cares when it is your team scoring.
Id wish you good luck mate but you really don’t need it, we’re a complete shitshow from top to bottom. Anyway, congratulations on the 3 points!
It’ll be the easiest 3 points you’ll get this season. Just a case of how many you score as we’ll definitely get nil. The direct approach worked wonders for us last season so we decided to go out tippy tappy from the back. It’s working really well, as you can see from the league table.
Ummm, tippy tappy in this league without the players or bite to do it is a bad plan :-( We had it easy at the weekend and rested nine players so they should be fresh but may be too rested. Let's see
Preaching to the choir there Pelly we all know that, but try telling our Board and Head coach apparantly players dont increase in value enough if you go direct and play a high press. WHat they need is lots of time on the ball to showcase their skills ...apparently, though it doesnt seem to be working so well because our players arent good enough for that style
I'd be happy with a poke in the box, with or without the scramble. I'm sure @Stephen Dawson will agree.
