I love Oakwell and I'm more than happy with it. But let's imagine we're being forced to adopt another stadium and it's going to be plonked right down on Pontefract road for our sole use. It would be ours and no other club had owned it. Which stadium would you put there? Catch, it's got to have a capacity between 15,000 and 30,000.
My immediate instinct was to choose Huddersfield's ground, for it's fairly unique look. However, for the capacity stated, I thought the MK Dons stadium was outstanding, particularly in terms of seating, legroom, etc. They'd also be unable to make a convincing argument for us moving it away from them too!
I'd be happy with a ground share with Juventus. The Allianz in Turin is like a gladiatorial arena. Awesome atmosphere.
I would have gone MK Dons. But it's actually just over 30k. So outside of OP restrictions. So based on that, I'd go Preston
I was thinking MK Dons. Brilliant acoustics and modern access. Hadn't realised it was over 30,000 capacity., thought it was 25,000.
Well I took it from that footballgroundguide.com website. And it lists it as 30500. Then again it lists ours as 23287. And we know that's not currently correct
Villa Park or Goodison. Traditional grounds and not souless bowls. Proper grounds. Edit. And Fratton Park. Double Edit. I cheated on the capacity but our board would close one stand to dip under the 30k.
I like the look of Hearts stadium, also the home of Dewsbury Rams, compact. Rotherham's looks good but I've not been.
