More of a @Kev b kind of post this, but I've just had the oddest of dreams about leaving Oakwell, and playing at Leeds. So odd and vividly rememberable I've written it down. Anyone have strange dreams they'd like to share?
Came round from general anaesthetic a couple of weeks ago telling the nurse we were no longer bottom of the league. My relief didn’t quite make it to the recovery ward.
I once had a dream where a totally naked Ann Widdicombe was complaining to a newsagent. My friend & I were in the shop for him to pick up a magazine he'd ordered prior to us going to work on a morning shift, when in walked Ann. I apologise to anyone traumatised by the image I've created.
I tend to have what I call “quest dreams” where I have a goal to achieve in the dream but all kinds of random things happen while I’m trying. Random people, places and events are in it and I wake up stressed and shattered.
Very weird dream last night, about meeting work colleagues at a reunion. The lads in question I worked with in 1983/84. It was so realistic I too jotted some scribbles down this morning. It really was as though I had been out with them to reminisce. Some of the things we chatted about, were actually true, yet they were memories that had disappeared from my daytime conscience. In the dream of course they were still as I remember them - which is fair enough, given that three of them would be approaching 110 now. But the lad Dave I was closest to, he appeared as he would today, though I have not seen him since 1986, so how could that be? We chatted about what we have done in the intervening years, our kids, his grandkids, what he does in retirement. It was a re-assuring dream, that became eerily spooky upon waking this morning.
Nothing salacious, old mate. He was the club secretary at a local WMC and it was his job to book 'turns' for them. The magazine listed acts and how to book them.
I had a dream that my mobile internet connection was updated to make it giga fast, so much so that I could view incidents in live streamed football matches before they happened on the pitch. Despite this high speed however, the connection wasn't that reliable, and had an annoying habit o
Had a dream when we were in the prem. the whole town was encompassed in the ground and the ground was massive. I believed it then and I believe it now. Barnsley without our great club is nothing. Also saw it come true when the whole town was inside Wembley. A bad season and bad results are nothing. The Reds endure and the fans endure.
