I didn’t go today, so can’t and won’t comment on the performance. That said as it’s a results based business, and results haven’t turned since his arrival. 4th defeat in a row and 5 defeats from the last 6. Is it valid to ask the question wether it’s time for the manager to go?
Can't believe we are debating getting shut of a head coach who's not been in the dugout for the last two games. Poya isn't the problem like Markus wasn't.
From what I’ve seen up to now I think Poya’s done a far worse job than Schopp but I’m not sure there’s much point in sacking him after today. Considering the players we had missing & who they had playing we did pretty well. I don’t believe we deserved anything on the overall balance of the game but we could’ve quite easily got a point out of it in the last 20 when we were on top. Our 3 centre backs got caught out a bit with the wind in the first half & Collins had a shocker for the goal but I don’t think the managers to blame for any of that. It was nice to see us look well organised for a change. Wolfe kept it nice & simple & seemed to be in the right place most of the time. It made a lovely change from watching Gomes & Palmer constantly been dragged out of position leaving massive gaps in the middle. Wolfe & Vita did well. Cole & Iseka showed more than normal. The defenders did reasonably well (considering the conditions). Nice to see Marsh come on looking confident & getting involved. Came out of the ground more positive than when I entered it despite losing.
Not so sure about that. While I’m losing patience with Poya, I think Schopp sucked out any confidence from the team, with inept coaching and tactics, but Poya wasn’t the man to salvage anything from the wreckage he left behind
Just accept we're 2019/20 shades of 5h1te. A poster was accused of rewriting history dismissing 20/21 but he's bang on. Everyone needs to have a long hard look in the mirror top to bottom. Fans included. We've accepted the crap long enough it's become the norm. Back to last season. I knew we'd lose when the fans shot their load for the limelight and to be back at the ground for the Swansea game. A perverse part of me was glad we lost. The reason being the right thing to do back then was not not be selfish and say if he can't go I won't go. The moment in the sun was a defeat but it still made me cringe.
It is just that though mate, a debate. I believe it’s a valid question. for the record, I’m not sure what we do, it is a results business and when results aren’t happening someone has to be blamed. The concerning part for me personally, I wouldn’t care if he got the tic tac tonight, nor would I care if he was here for the rest of the season. just wondering what everyone else thought currently on the manager.
I think he’s already gone illness was the excuse midweek nothing offered for today maybe a blessing#Schopp2
We’ll all have different views but I think Schopp had an incredibly difficult job coming in after so many key staff & players went in. It was a settling in period for everyone & I think the club / Conway / whoever make the decisions believed they could sack him & blame him for the problems at the club with the belief that the returns of Morris & Anderson would lead to better results but if anything we’ve got worse
He did inherit a complete mess. But the more time he had, the worse we seemed to get. That was my biggest issue with Schopp. We left it 4 games too late to get rid in my opinion. He left behind a bigger mess than he inherited. I could understand Poya’s cautious approach when he first came, because defensive organisation was non-existent. But team selections recently have left a lot to be desired and if retraining Hondermarck to be a defender was his call, you’d have to question his judgement. Will watch the full game tomorrow, but if the performance has improved while he’s been isolating, it’s not a great reflection on him.
The most ironic thing with Hondermarck is if played in central midfield "having signed" any sort of contract he's the only one that would attract any sort of bid. He's got class. The rest are a bag of w@nk. I actually think him being on a nothing deal and having an ounce of talent will be better for his career. Look at ICD he bumped into f cuking Maxwell.
