On Twitter. I can still see the posts but I'm blocked from commenting. I assume it was for a joke response I posted to tickets being on sale for a game a while back. It read "Left my season ticket on the car seat, somebody broke the window and left another 20!" Seems I upset whoever was running the account that day. Sorry guys was just a bit of gallows humour.
You’re not missing owt to be fair, still no signings or any word from the owners. And if I ever see a tweet like this again… I’ll gladly block them myself!
We don’t have the ability to block individual people from replying. Nobody has that ability. It’s not a twitter feature. So I’ve genuinely no idea what to advise. I think you sent us a direct message about this last year. It rings a bell. Genuinely confused.
How many people have the log-in for the club's Twitter? No reason for asking at all I'm just a nosey sod.
I'll have a mess with it tomorrow, I do have another Twitter account logged in where I switch the between the two. Glad I've not upset anyone at any rate.
‘Brain donors’ would that consist of fans concerned about their club or just chavvy little brats from other clubs that proceed to spam the **** out of our Twitter page at times?
It's a good shout, but this fella sent our account direct messages last year with this issue, so he must have been logged in. I was stumped back then, and I still am.
That Trimmy Bullard tweet made me feel nauseous - especially under the current circumstances! Wouldn't even like it had Bullard played for us, but he never has. Worst tweet of 2021 by far
There's a time and a place in my eyes. It isn't time, nor the location for anything other than doing your job with minimal fuss. I wish that was a frame of mind reflected further afield. Last season was different. I was occasionally less dull. I even used the odd exclamation mark.
It is kinda funny when you think about it How nonsensical it is; the use of the word/name 'Trimmy'; picturing Jimmy Bullard; a photo of Benson with a shaved head. It's a bit ridiculous, and it's just a tweet. Maybe just me... I particularly enjoyed the hysterics after the reaction to the 'Bury Baggio' tweet yesterday, and Styles looking to camera and thinking, I know man, not good at the minute. Nothing like Baggio right now.
The thing is, people react with their own feelings/emotions. But not every tweet is aimed at them. We have a lot of young fans who love that kind of stuff.
Absolutely, I've always liked the content. I find it a bit funny/sad how wound up people do get. As you say, not all aimed at them and why take it so personally? But people inevitably do. A shame really as it does help fans stay connected, even when the chips are down it's important, maybe more so. And people should retain their sense of humour.
Proudest period of my time here - as I've mentioned before - was in 2020 when the world shut down during the pandemic. Three months trying to keep our fanbase entertained, informed and in good spirits. We entered that period bottom of the league, looking nailed on to go down. Society was in disarray, people (including us) feared for their job. My colleagues and I, the three of us produced unbelievable content, I'm proud to say that. The messages we received in that time from hundreds of supporters, thanking us for keeping going, for engaging, that is the best thing I've achieved in six years. Many clubs / media staff retreated, and I really don't blame them. It was a ****** weird time and why not. But we finished only behind Leeds that year for social engagement hits. A team with five times the fanbase, on their way to the Premier League. That the lads returned and we pulled off the greatest escape was icing on the cake. I don't think I'll ever enjoy anything more than that few months. Nothing before or since has come close to Brentford away at full-time. I felt like the world was ours. We'd done the impossible. And we deserved it.
