If Chaplin was that good you would think he would be in the team at Ipswich in division one but only seems to make the bench at best
After the first four games, Frieser was generally awful, so not so sure he’d have made much difference. The club appears to be in such a mess, we could bring back Pinnock, Stones, Hourihane and Mowatt and still be a mess.
Players always get better after a period of time when we’re also rubbish. Cavare didn’t put the effort in when we were okay, do you think he would in this lot? He had the physical attributes but didn’t want it enough. Herbie Kane is the only one out of all you name who I would want to see in this season but clearly the owners had other ideas.
Still seething over freeze He was better than most. Scored a couple then frozen him out and got rid of him.
Cavare was good in league one most assists from full back in named in league one team of the season. Id get Thomas back if were going to go 442 at least we have a natural winger there.
This is not like me but maybe these players were moved on out because they weren't getting much attention from other clubs.
Yeah he was good going forward in league 1 but still sloppy turning back to his own net. In that division though he wasn’t made to pay as much. Not sure on Thomas. Apart from his very first game at home to Fulham, I’ve rarely seen him try and take people on or get round them. I don’t think he’ll ever make it in the championship but stranger things have happened I suppose.
I thought we moved such as Chaplin on since he was basically just a squad player, and the idea was to improve the squad and move to the next level.........unfortunately we replaced him and others with utter ”*****” such Obbi and Iseka!
I thnk at times your right but we had the best defence in league one that season and it was the main reason we were promoted so cant be too critical of any of that back 4. I think with cavare people had already made their minds up on him from the season before. And i think hes doing okay now as he was linked with a move to norwich last month. Lets see how our current full backs fare in league one.
