There's a (small) part of me that would rather see the club fold than have these tosspots sailing off into the sunset with a nice fat profit.
There are a lot of clichés that come to mind.lets explore a few ‘We are all in it together’ - clearly not. Fans losing interest me included. The club is divided and seems so is the fan base ‘fiddling while Rome burns’ is very apt. There are a lot of responsible people, leaders of our club standing back right now doing nothing. Watching from afar as the infrastructure declines but maybe slightly slower than the footballing product. Doing nothing is worse than doing the wrong thing. At least that can be fixed. ‘You cant win em all’ - or any in our case ‘how the mighty have fallen’ - i bet Wigan are lovin it. ‘we can rebuild for the future’ - unless I’m wrong any building project needs a firm foundation. I wouldnt build a house on quicksand. ‘Support the club not the owners’ - correct but what is our club right now? What is the identity and stature in the footballing world. What is the game day experience. What are we supporting. What is our aims and objectives. Are we proud of what we stand for? Are we supporting failure, apathy and a plaything for others? thought i would start the day on a positive
