"who cares what a lazy dindu says. F***ing n***r" *Reported for hate speech" "We didn't find any violations We found that the reported content doesn't violate our Community Guidelines. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us and help our community stay safe." Social media companies should face prosecution EVERY time they allow hate speech on their platforms
I reported hate speech on Facebook and got basically the exact same message. It made me wonder what the hell their Community Guidelines are if that was allowed.
Simple solution: boycott social media. It does so much more harm than good. And I'm talking about Facey, Twitter, Instagram, even WhatsApp (not the good old BBS).
Unfortunately, while it might be illegal *here*, if the original poster is in a country where it isn't illegal what can they do? Same if the content is stored where those laws don't exist, or the moderator is in a country with different laws to the UK... *I'm certainly not defending the site and think its abhorrent - but legally its a multi-jurisdictional minefield.
They can do whatever they want, it is their platform. Gally could ban the word "bridge" if he fancied. There's no excuse for them not to take action.
I thought they banned without question… I know someone who was banned because of someone having a grudge against them… (no racism involved)
These days if you say you're @Stephen Dawson you get banned and thrown in jail before even posting anything...
You can't call Bojo the clown and demonic Cummings lovely people on Twitter or they ban you for life, well they do if you do it in a reply to Laura Kunnesberg and she reports you for it. I know from personal experience.
I can honestly say I wouldn't have found the word 'dindu' offensive!.... I had to google it first.....must be getting old!
