Absolutely awful defending. Also I know I'm not a goalkeeper but why was Walton trying to save that with his right hand when it was so far to his left?
I think when the highlights start it says “commentary from radio Cumbria” or at least it did on the highlights I watched.
It’s how they are taught, the theory is if you go with the right hand you’re more likely able to push it away as well as save it, where trying to stop it with the left it is more likely to stay in the danger area.
The commentary provided should have been from the home team. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59914779
I can't see how that can work theoretically. Another "art" that seems to have gone is a goalie actually catching a ball. Either from shots or crosses!
If I was in charge of football I'd ban punching the ball. Apart from anything else it's pretty dangerous to attacking players when a keeper can have a clenched fist next to their head
I listened on iFollow which was Radio Dee Dar but you could hear the Radio Cumbria guy going doolally in the background....
