I'd like to go out to meet @SFOTyke and @Tekkytyke purely for the travel abroad. One I have met up with is an old mate from yesteryear @Michael Noz who is a brilliant person and is worth contacting if you're ever out Sydney way
I’m in bits here. I feel like I’ve just conquered Eurovision with one vote from a country full of sheep herders in the far reaches of deepest Europe
Big Lil Stephen Dawson John Peachy All would be great company in my opinion. There's also a possibility we may know each other, as i very rarely missed a game home and away between 1978 - 1983
Jedi for the laughs, the company and the anecdotes Barnsley66 for being a top fellow and for not being able to stop my left foot rockets Plankton Pete for the music chat, seemed a nice bloke A couple more who’s usernames I can’t remember, one to reminisce about times where I grew up
I am going to push the boat out and nominate 4 guests, just because I can . I would invite biglil, Bossman, RedHelen and Jamdrop, and whilst I have never met any of them, they all come across as sensible, level headed and have a balanced point of view on all things Barnsley.
Ok so i guess @Bossman has to be number one choice. The highlight of 2021 has to be the ‘best joker, worst joker’ events and I'm actually still laughing. @Jimmy viz so we can talk Music. A reliable source of good recommendations and i hope i have reciprocated. Paul Conway. I hear he visits the board. Although i would be worried he would send the new CEO by order of email instead who in turn would eat our sarnies, bring no beer and then make us move from the couch to the kitchen table. Whitey could be a ‘special’ guest as he owes a round plus it would be good for old times sake.
Hah!! 'fairweather friend' Although to be fair , the weather HAS been VERY fair past two or three days I lit the wood oven and we had pizza wine and beer 'al fresco' on the patio yesterday and spent the afternoon on the swing chair sunning ourselves wearing T shirts whilst looking at the snow capped mountains. I read the UK has been warm too with similar air temperature but the heat from the sun this far South makes the difference especially if there is no wind. My wife went in doors at about half past three as she complained she was too warm.
@JLWBigLil for his decency and his memory @John Peachy for helping through some difficult times and going out of his way to being so supportive and helpful to me. @Redhelen who likes just about everything Plus many more
I’m at the stage of life where if I learn something I have to forget something I already know and I apply that to meeting new people so I better stick with John M Chris T and icer. We can all talk music though i suspect it’s would be more of a date as we talked all things gadgety and musicy
M'sieur, thankyou... it was great for us to hangout with youse for a few weeks. (I'll call you this in next coupla years...) I always feel good about posters who don't have a historical Barnsley background. examples being Tomi, Arabian Ian, Budmustang, Tomieba (?) from Wisconsin (?)... anybody who pitches in their lot with Barnsley for good and nice reasons...
Some lovely people that are always welcome in my pad. This is the big tune. For once it isn't Husker Du
Thanks mate for the vote. The only other person I know personally on here, Mick in Sydney, so I’ll agree with you on that too.
