I went to the Madrid derby about 7 years ago at the Vicente Calderon and inside the ground there was this 40-something couple with a bagfull of lids, handing them out to anyone that wanted them....

It's a game and the spectators are adults. The players can celebrate however they want for me, none of the blame for the violence lies with them.

That's not right though is it?

Celebrate how they like? They can't go around taunting fans after they've scored. Gazza played the flute or summat to incite a riot. Do you think they have no responsibility?

    No blame?

Well. Obviously "celebrate how they like" wasn't meant to include sectarian incitement. But just giving a bit back to the fans is absolutely fine by me. Of course they have no responsibility, as no reasonable person would react with violence to a bloke celebrating a goal in a game of football.

Gazza played the flute as a dare, not realising the furore that it would cause. He’s not the sharpest, especially when somebody tells him it would be a laugh….

Should women avoid wearing short skirts and walking down dark alleys if they don't want to be raped?

Well I'm glad you've toned it down.

Personally speaking I took it to heart when Winnall performed his antics after scoring for Wednesday against us. For ten minutes or so.

Then I realised it's that kind of stuff that makes life worth living.

I agree. Fair enough to shout something less than complimentary but hurting a player for celebrating a goal is ridiculous,

Yes, maybe it should be an automatic yellow.

He got titty lip on, after someone threw that cuddly pepa pig on the pitch in front of him. Probably shouldn't have laughed, but it was hilarious. :D

Spme "Fans" dish abuse out to certain opposition players all gave both verbally and certain hand gestures.

Players celebrate and "fans" lose it and can take it.

    Ooh.aah kung fu Cantona.
