I do not understand the level of devotion demonstrated by a supporter such as you, but it gladdens my heart.
I've been a supporter for almost 60 years. I support the team not the owners. Supporting Barnsley means you do not get much choice as to the owners. However. the last 30 years have been a lot more eventful than the first 30. That said players would stick around a bit longer in the old days.
But when we did well last season my non footballing friends asked about it and saw how good it was for the town. So thats what we're getting behind I suppose.
I do its just something you do but its more than just the football for me its the going to matches with my Dad something we have done together for over 50 years though probably not too many more as Dad is not as young as he once was. For me its a 400 mile round trip though I dont often do there and back in a day spending the night at Dads
I drove through Farnham on my way to Storrington (?) to stay with a mate. It's the other side of the planet mate. Watch with sound muted on ifollow
You're probably right we are stuck with them. For me I'm just apathetic towards the club at this point.
That's the thing I miss. I don't see dad as much (or loads of friends/acquaintances). Dad only lives across town but I have all the usual human inadequacies and don't visit enough.
