Thoroughly enjoyed 'The Saboteur' by Andrew Gross (courtesy of Dodworth Library.) Next visit got 'The Spy' by Andrew Gross. By page three I realised that I was reading the same story. Why were two identical books published with completely different titles ?
Almost anything by John le Carre particularly the Smiley trilogy (Tinker tailor, The Honourable Schoolboy and Smiley's People). Ian Rankin's Rebus series.
I’m going to go with this reason. Books quite often have different names in different countries which fits better with their culture but as this was republished with a new name I’d say the reason DS gave is a good bet. You may like to see if the library has his ‘The One Man’.
Thanks. Never come across it before - would be annoying if someone bought the two books not realising they were one and the same.
Schindler's Ark got rebranded as Schindler's List when the film was released. That's one I can think of off the top of my head.
