The language was probably over the top for sure. But he's 100% right that nobody in the thread even came close to suggesting that. I actually typed a reply to him at the time saying "who has said that?

You would probably take a different view if it was your loved one who went to war back then and ended up with life changing injurys or even worse. He really shouldnt get the airtime he does.
