I love your optimism, it would truly be the biggest turnaround whilst I’ve been watching. Not if we made the play-offs but escaping relegation.
Just in the last decade we've seen the Flicker 'great escape', the 'rock bottom to Heckingbottom' season, Struber's version of the great escape and last season going from bottom to 5th. So there's plenty of proof there, in a short timeframe to suggest it's still up for grabs.
One Mr Hourihane(cannot spell his name) last minute equaliser against Sheff United. We never looked back.
When you look at that table there are many ups & downs. Sheff Utd & Coventry probably have faired best & Bury worst.
I'd take 21st today, if it was offered. We seem so far away from there at the moment, both points and goal wise.
Not sure flickers was pretty impressive to be honest. This one would be more so as we dont currently have enough shots to win games so unless that changes it isnt happening
Well, for a start in 2016 we had Adam Hammill. No-one in the current squad comes close, in my opinion anyway.
Morris comes close - a different style but just as importsnt to the team (probably gone in the winter sale now I've said that ).
I admire your optimism but It would be a lot more amazing this time - 21 points from 22 games and having 6 wins scoring 28 goals is quite a lot better starting point that 14 points from 23 games 2 wins and 15 goals. Only slight positive is conceding 38 goals 6 years ago is a bit worse than 34 now
