Told a bloke at work today I won't be getting my booster because I've had 2 jabs and had COVID. I said I've done my bit. I also said members of my family have had nasty reactions from the Pfizer jab, which is the only one available to me. I don't need it. Anyway, I told him and he physically stepped away from me. Odd, considering these 'vaccines' don't stop you being ill or from spreading it. Government strategy is to expand NHS waiting lists so they can waste time injecting folk who don't need injecting. But you know, looks good politically. They've played a blinder though. Traditional left now love big pharma, big corporations and big tech.
It looks like Sir Kier is on the Big Pharma payroll too. Red or blue? It doesn't really matter either way when both sides are owned and controlled by the same masters.
They do stop you from being ill and spreading the virus...not everyone...that's true, but still millions of people will either not get Covid or get much milder symptoms than they would had they not being vaccinated.
Oh, come on Jimmy. You strike me as having at least a modicum of intelligence. Surely you must realise that party politics is nothing more than an elaborate puppet show to give the plebs the illusion of choice?
I think from that statement that you know in your heart that they’re not right and they don’t work. So why accept it?
You support vaccine passports then. It’s very simple, this. It’s a matter of principle. It’s a simple principle of whether you want a segregated society that excludes a portion of people - like America pre Rosa Parks or the franchise in the U.K. pre Emmeline Pankhurst - or whether you believe that all U.K. citizens have equal rights. It’s a very, very simple choice of principle and people should choose their sides. I choose equality. Most on here choose division, segregation, and apartheid. That is their right, but I will never join that side. The Tories have chosen division, apartheid and segregation. Labour have chosen division, apartheid and segregation. I choose to choose neither of the two main parties because of this.
I'm struggling to see how 'equality' just involves the minority doing as they please whatever the consequences may be for further spread/mutation.
He should have come out last week and said something like he supports further measures to fight thr spread of the virus. But his parry cannot vote in favour of vaccine passports. Force Johnson to either adjust his policy or be defeated. I think that would have been better for him. I don't think the action he isntalong so far will do anything to win him back the votes Labour lost.
It's a strong bet that the vaccine passports will be watered down somewhat before the vote today. As it stands, that particular vote is likely to attract the highest number of Tory rebels. Johnson will then be open to the charge that he only won because of Labour. His own side might then ask "who's prime minister is he?" Given his current standing he can't afford that. For me, vaccine passports are the way to go. A test is only a snapshot in time. Once you're vaxxed (including boosters when necessary) you're vaxxed.
Are all of those yellow cards genuine? Actual question, not a condescension - my understanding was that anyone can raise a yellow card - in which case what's to stop vaccine nutters hijacking it the way Arsenal fans once hijacked a Spurs poll? It may well be that there are checks and safeguards that I'm unaware of. I've been very lucky and had very little side effects from all three of my vaccines. However, if it's an open forum where anyone can register a reaction with the click of a button I'd give it as much credence as Boaty McBoatface.
What evidence are you pointing at to support that assumption? Could you share it please? No evidence exists, anywhere globally, that they contribute to a reduction in the spread of the virus. That’s why Kier Starmer wasn’t backed in to a corner and could have voted against them.
Except in so far as they are an extra incentive for people to get on and get vaxxed. That will do for me.
There's evidence. You may be looking in the wrong place. Try the Lancet or the new England journal of medicine.
Agreed, and I don’t care what either Boris or Starmer says, but I do listen to what all the scientists on the media are saying....and all are advising that all people get jabbed for health reasons.......I would sooner listen to them than the amateur scientists on here that’s for sure!!
Be keen for you to share it, because this far any introduction of vaccine passports has led to cases increasing. Even our own experts/scientists admitted there’s nothing that shows that have an effect on the trend in positive cases.
As much as I believe vaccines are working and keeping deaths and hospital numbers down, it is morally wrong to impose them on people and create a two tier society.
Well it depends how you look at it, doesn't it? To me, those who refuse vaccination shouldn't be allowed to go to crowded spaces/events where the vast majority have accepted the vaccine. Obviously if they want to get a test then that serves a similar purpose. But I would have thought it's more burdensome, and doesn't offer the same assistance in preventing transmission and the generation of new variants. I don't think you need worry though - I expect the proposals to be watered down as I stated at post #151.
