I don't know what he started with or finished with but half way though the first half we definitely went to 5-3-2.. I saw where Poya's last season Gothenburg he played every formation in the book. Which kinda suggests he'd lost the plot and didn't know what he was doing..
Sweden's national team always plays a 4-4-2 so i'm guessing the under 23s would have to play the same way. So in his last job he probably didn't have a work on formations, it was set in stone.. So put all the formations you want in a hat and pull one out. It doesn't matter cos the next time you look it will have changed anyway..

I would have hoped with a back 4 formation. The defender would have been goal side at least.

    I don’t think anyone’s influencing it.

Let’s be honest the options are Cole, Frieser, Leya Iseka & Adeboyejo. It’s not a crime to pick Oduor over them four. None of them have done enough to keep the shirt.

Benson, Styles, Hondermarck, Gomes, Palmer & Moon have all had a go in midfield & none have done well in my opinion. I can see an argument to put an extra one in there but I can also see an argument you’re weakening you’re side by putting an extra under performing player in there.

Play odour 100 times upfront he wouldnt score 5 goals had a chance today but hes no forward. I honestly think theres a influence behind the scenes and these appointments are just yes men.

You could be right. I think it’s happened in the past when Stendel was told not to play Cavare & Pinillos but I just can’t see what benefit there would be to not pick Cole & play Oduor instead when he’s a new signing. At least Cavare & Pinillos not been picked made sense as there deals were running out.

Play Victor or Freiser who are supposed to be strikers & neither of them would score 5 goals , I do not believe in conspiracy theories as there is not one ounce of evidence just fed up fans speculating & as for yes men I do not think Val was a yes man in the slightest & simply because a coach fails does not qualify them as yes men either, I just think all appointments are gambles ,some come off others don"t its as simple as that.

Morris, Woodrow and possibly Iseka are the only players at the club that I would give any chance of scoring that chance he had. And that says more about the squad than it does about the chance. I got bored of watching Morris playing as a winger today. We need him and Woodrow in the box, and find someone that can take a full back on and get a cross in.

    18. Surely we’ll muster another 6 points. Reckon we’ll struggle to top 25 though…..

Frieser: Championship starts for Barnsley 38. Goals 5

Victor: Games for Barnsley 87. Goals 8

I've got a feeling that yes they would both get you 5 goals in 100 games

Correct Odour is never going to make a striker, I pointed this out a few month ago along with others. I do believe picking him is probably a knock on effect of changing managers all the time. This leads to the players getting a clean slate when they are not good enough. Odour will most likely look good in training but he can’t cut the mustard when picked to play

But then the question has to be asked of who is putting him up front in training in the first place or who is telling the new guy that he's a striker?

I'm going to play devil's avocado and say, maybe Oduor is doing the business in training?

Its the only reason I can see why he keeps being picked, and someone like Remy Vita and Obbi Oulare can't get a look in.

He didn't play Oduor in his few games in charge though.

My word they are impressive stats especially Victor"s , that pairing would put the wind up any defence ! no new forwards required

God knows why we signed vita and oulare look like he has the fitness of a darts player not a footballer. But picking odour upfront shouldnt be happening. Probley the same people who told stendel not to play cavare and pinnilos are making it happen.

Except that's not quite what I was saying is it.
I don't remember comparing our strikers with potential new signings, I seem to recall discussing our strikers compared to Clarke oduor.

My word they have each got 5 goals in less than 100 games despite your claims to the contrary. My word

But we knew victor and freiser werent prolific last season. Did the owners expect them to turn into 20+ goal scorers over the summer? We knew miller wasnt good enough. We knew cauley had 10 goals from open play last season in a side that finished in the play offs and morris injury record wasnt great. We signed cole who had scored a few in the mikey mouse league in scotland. Oulare who has the fitness of a darts player and iseka who had visa issues.

Poor recruitment cost us again we should have shipped schmidt, freezer miller and vic out and brought in one or two players who could impact a game.

I still don't think it's fair to comment on Oulare, considering the fact that he's played about half an hour. I do however think it's fair to question why he's not getting anywhere near the first team, when a full back is playing up front. Especially when you remember, we tried to sign him last January too, but had to settle for Dike instead.
