It is pretty crazy though having the whole country logging on once a month to update their passports. As someone said above its not as though you can be unvaccinated.
No wonder the system struggles to cope.

A negative PCR test is out of date long before you even receive the results. You have to go somewhere to get the test so although you were negative at the time of the test you could easily have caught Covid on the way home.
Negative lateral flow tests are invalid as soon as you step out of the door to show someone the results of that test as you could catch Covid along the way. Sooner if you live with anyone as they could bring Covid to you.
A vaccine passport is even more useless. At least a negative test result shows that you recently didn't have Covid. If you're jabbed, double jabbed and even boosted you can still get Covid-19. And I don't mean there's a slim chance you may still get it. Millions of people who have been vaccinated have contracted it and millions of vaccinated people have passed it on. So why is there a differential between those vaccinated and those not? And why are people so accepting of this situation to the point where the only topic of conversation is how difficult/easy it is to download the certificate?
If I had a point in my drunken rambling last night, this was it. We're being fractured into a two tier society, we're being made to carry our papers, it is for no good reason, it is extremely concerning and no one cares. A few more people will care when they add your hepatitis status to the papers that allow you to do things. The people with hepatitis. The people without will justify it however they're justifying the Covid passport. People will only care when the disease they have is added to these papers, but it's already too late to stop that because there is clearly no public enthusiasm in stopping us going down this route. Quite the opposite, it appears to be welcomed. I find this so upsetting.

If you've got Covid don't leave the house and pass it on. There, that's all the legislation you need.

You can become not fully vaccinated if you aren't having the boosters though.

    that’d be brilliant.
But how do you police it?

Unfortunately as per my previous post; the world is full of idiots.

You can't police it. Maybe we shouldn't be trying to police everything all the time? Maybe that's not a healthy position for our society to be in?

As it stands, you can be fully vaccinated and boosted and full up to your eyeballs with Covid-19, spreading the virus everywhere, and gain entry to Oakwell. Or not be vaccinated and not infected and refused entry. How is that helpful to anyone?

Same as most other folks, my COVID pass with NHS App will be valid for 1 month from the date of request.
I don't have one currently, but I'll sort it on Thursday, so I'll be covered up to the Blackpool game on 15th January if required.

As others have said it should last a month, the one on the app does. I'd suggest taking a screenshot of it, saves having to log back in continuously.

I've downloaded it on my tablet which is a month so now I have two absolutely identical looking screens. One with 1 day left. 1 with a month.

I still don't understand why it has any expiry. Unless they already know that they're changing the requirements soon to mean 3 jabs are needed for freedom and then 4 and 5 etc

That's good DR if it works for you. Many months ago I had a go and had no end of trouble taking pics and face scanning so gave it up as a bad job. Been on again today and had another go. No probs with taking pic of licence but had trouble with scanner locking out. Ended up doing a video and now awaiting the outcome.

    Edit:
Failed to pass muster and told to try again. Tried several times to video and can hear it but not see it. Made sure all permissions were correct on phone and still no joy. according to NHS site my phone should be Ok but they do admit to having issues.
Last chance on line was to try on laptop and it sailed through and now have official confirmation that I have passed all checks .

It will probably become a requirement once everyone has been offered it.

It's had a month expiry since it started in summer, no idea why it had one then though.

    Such a scary thought.

Especially when it's becoming increasingly evident that being vaccinated doesn't prevent transmission at all. It merely (and very excellently) stops the vaccinated person becoming seriously ill

It lasts a month then you have to renew it. Thats how mine works anyway.
