Managerless Preston. A team in slightly better form than us. At Deepdale, they've been fairly good. They've lost just twice in the league, both against teams currently in the bottom 6 which is a good omen (Hull and Cardiff). They've drawn as many as they've won at home though, which means they're only mid-table in terms of home form. Overall, Preston have lost 3 of their last 5 games which has seen Frankie McAvoy lose his job. And whilst they are 12 points better off than us, they only find themselves in 18th place. Historically at Deepdale, we have only won 1 of our last 5 visits there. The most recent being 4 1/2 years ago, with Sam Winnall and Adam Armstrong scoring the goals. This century however, we have been victorious on 5 occasions at Deepdale. We've lost 5 and drawn 3 of the 13 meetings since 2000. There was a clear improvement last weekend, although it did look like we ran out of steam around the hour mark. I think it could be a case of, going in front in the first half, and then just trying to keep hold of possession as much as possible in the 2nd. I'm going for 1-2 with Morris and Woodrow on the scoresheet.
Any faint trace of a pulse we picked up on Saturday disappeared by 3pm at Deepdale. 3-1 to the Lilywhites.
Match abandoned. Woodrow drags his feet so much that after 20 mins he unearths an unexploded WW2 shell.
Is new manager bounce actually a thing? All I ever seem to read is fans complaining that their team hasn't had one.
Abit more optimistic after Saturday another week for our manager to work with the lads 2-0 to the mighty Reds Coyr
