We are all entitled to our own opinions but wow, we need to be more united than ever in these trying of times. I find it difficult but acceptable to read the stuff that is being directed to our club, forget about the owners, this is Barnsley Football Club, it hurts I get that but I think we should stick together, I honestly do. I know we are a the mercy of the owners but turning our backs won't solve things. Once a red always a red, isn't that the motto?
Totally agree. We are where we are. The new manager was always going to need several games to stamp his approach on us, too early to judge. But his interviews are 100% better than Schopp and he seems switched on. We’ve been that poor, I don’t anyone could have come in and sorted it out. Even big Val.
But if you're always going to be a red then sometimes you need to do what you think is best for the club in the long term, rather than the short term.
It isn't Barnsley football club anymore though that's the problem. It's a stocks and shares company owned by a Hong Kong group of businessmen and women who could not give a shiny shît about us. It is toxic because it NEEDS to be toxic to drive them out or at the very least send a strong message that we won't put up wit their disgraceful behaviour
I think any coach would've come in and set his stall out to make us more difficult to beat. Frankly, this is what Schopp should've been doing at least for his last 4 games. Can fully understand Poya doing that, hopefully we can start to see signs of improvement in the next games.
Could be literally anyone. There's something like 8 billion people on the planet. I don't think it's realistic for me to know the business acumen of them all. What I will say though is that there are Barnsley fans who have the club's best interests at heart who are just as capable of putting not a penny into the club and taking three quarters of a million out. I'll ask you a question in return. What do these owners have that nobody else could have? What have they brought to the club that nobody else could? The only reason they own the thing in the first place is that they took advantage of the situation when a dying man was forced to sell to the next vultures who came along.
The toxicity started on the BBS when the board sacked Stendel and we get bombarded daily with anything to discredit the owners.Have the owners got everything right? I would say no but they've also haven't got everything wrong either.
They've got a lot more wrong than right. Theyve lied multiple times. They've taken money out of the club after promising not to do so. They've closed one of our stands and given contradictory and illogical reasons for doing so (I notice that after saying they suddenly had enough stewards and it was nothing to do with closing the west stand that they've launched a recruitment drive for stewards). They've released statements that treat supporters with contempt. They've made moves to move the club out of Barnsley. It's a long list really. What have they done right? Well erm I mean we got lucky last season much to the owners dismay. I would say we haven't overspent but that's a lie as we lost money due to their overspending when they took money out of the club for themselves.
The owners don't have the best interests of the club at heart. The players have been recruited to regard this club as a stepping stone if they improve, but they are not of Championship standard. The CEO has a cavalier attitude to supporters if the West Stand situation is anything to go by. He sidesteps questions about what the owners are up to. The ground has been neglected and issues relating to parking and access have been ignored. I'm not sure what the purpose of 'sticking together' is in this situation.
Answer my question 1st mi owd. Any one of 8 million is an answer I would expect from that clown of a PM Johnson.
8 million rather than 8 billion is something I'd expect from Diane Abbott You are asking me to answer an impossible question as well you know.
