    genuinely puzzled why a pair of laces & corner flags would get to anyone :confused:

    He can and has. No-one has said he's never allowed to repeat that view again, no-one has called for him to be banned. People also can and have replied to him.

    Ignoring the rest of your post I don't think that 'if you're gay good for you' is patronising at all.
