It's horrible in Oakham, half an hour from Peterboro, mix of torrential rain and snow, crazy winds. Not gonna be a fun afternoon.

That's still a bit early. There's a high possibility that they'll catch most of the game. :)

Take some tips off Ostersund from their Monday night match. It had a couple of lengthy delays during the match so it finished over a hour late. But they drove some snow ploughs on to the pitch and got on with it.

I expect plenty of EFL games called off today. I think games get called off too easily in England and not enough is done to get them played.

So presumably the Manx coach was going to a pub somewhere, then onwards to the ground. If so, I'd contend they've cancelled the wrong part of today's excursion!

Haha, perfectly true. Many a good away day been rudely interrupted by the football. I remember a Boxing Day away at Preston, via the pre match Chorley session, when a couple of police officers came into the pub to announce the match was off. Nobody seemed too disappointed to spend even longer in the pub rather than watch us go and lose in the freezing cold.

Clubs can only do so much and can’t effect the surrounding area. Simply having Under soil heating and turning it on can be a waste of money if the surrounding area is a bit treacherous underfoot

If we had been at home today it would have been a pain. All trains so far today on the Penistone line have been cancelled until at least 2 pm.
