So the CEO, head coach and deputy have Swedish connections. I think that the club shop had better stock up on the letter 'S' over Christmas, because there could be a run on Svensson, Andreasson and the like in the January transfer window. I can see a switch from Austrian to Swedish imports (Brexit allowing) from now on. I guess we are hoping for s Swedish equivalent of what Cooper did at Swansea with young English internationals and what Franke has done at Brentford with Danish. I think Poya will need to be given time to bring in what he wants and to shape the squad and think that it could mean going via a relegation and promotion to get us back to the boil. I would be delighted if he can save us this season, but think that the board will give him time, even if we slip and bounce back up again, especially if he and the CEO can acquire some of the best young Swedish talent, which is surely the aim.
Relegation affords our owners the cheap option. No (or very minimal) compensation to pay his contract off. It also allows a scape goat to deflect away from introspection.
Whenever I’ve watched Swedish teams the words I would use would be boringly efficient. It’s definitely all about the team and the structure, everyone knows their job and gets it done, doesn’t lead to exciting football but tends to lead to very consistent levels of organisation. Let’s hope we get a season of boring 1-0 wins and 0-0 draws that get us clear of relegation.
Obviously nowhere near. But they'll still have a relegation clause which they'll undoubtedly trigger if we get relegated.
Even if we got relegated and he kept his job following any promotion back to the Championship he'd be gone as soon as somebody met his release clause along with half the first team probably.
You are right but they could have saved themselves a lot of cash by setting on one of the out of work coaches in the UK , Warnock , Monk etc , there were plenty on the list ,but that cheap option has gone & we will get behind the new guy , lets hope he was worth the financial gamble .
We can only guess what some of those UK names may have commanded in salaries and it that would have offset any compensation paid to secure Asbaghi. I doubt it would have been cheap, and theres no guarantee we'd survive either. In my mind, we were always going to get a coach that just limped over the requirements post brexit. He may be a great coach, he may be awful. But it all feels so futile. Succeed, he's gone. Fail's, he's gone. And we do it all again.

@YTBFC's cameras at the side of the pitch Film the same result every match day And the stars of these teams are all up for sale Thanks to Chien Lee and Mr Conway.... Sorry couldn't resist.
