Seems in and around Barnsley they have been replaced by traffic cones. There are hundreds missing surely someone got footage of them nicking them on there dashcam or cctv/doorbell the sheer logistics of moving that much weight must make them easier to find.

I wish they'd nick the one on our street. I makes a noise like someone's hitting it with a sledgehammer every time a car goes over it.

Complete transparency from the council though!
No sign of a cover up!

Apart from practically almost everything else in the world the one thing that really annoys me is metal theft because it isn't just lowlife scrotes stealing the metal, it's the scum of the earth scrap yards who are giving them cash for it. The penalty for accepting any stolen goods at a scrap yard should be 10 years inside and ALL scrap taken in should have to be photographed as it's bought along with a photograph of the seller. Metal theft would stop overnight.

Too right. Without scrap yard facilitating it, metal theft would end overnight.

I contacted my local scrappy as I had a few discus shaped lumps of metal to sell and the bloke insisted that I bring in my driving licence and bank details as they don’t pay cash. This can’t be fair cos lumps of metal always used to be a good little cash earner. PS I’ve also got a couple of hundred old road warning signs that it looks like I’m now lumbered with.
