I don't think we do. It's designed to give priority to cyclists and pedestrians but looks to over complicate thing in my opinion. And how come the rest of England gets a decent rail link, or improvements, and we get a sodding roundabout?
There’s one in Cambridge. Nobody understands it including the cyclists who apparently have right of way. I avoid the ring road that it’s on because I don’t want to get it wrong. It cost over a million by the way.
I wonder how long before a fatal accident occurs . Maybe better to stick to a standard UK roundabout where everyone knows the rules .
Town centres like Barnsley should be moving to a fully pedestrianised future. Cars have come first for far too long and look what we've done to our public spaces as a consequence.
The pedestrian area of the town centre is rather large. You have to be careful to strike the balance as you want people to come.
