so first chance to sit in my new seat in the East Lower today.
Got off to a bad start when a group of 4 turned up and accused me of sitting in their seat. Had to show the my ticket. Then they realised that there used to be 5 of them but the one in the middle hadn’t renewed. Did offer to move to the end so they were together but they decided to all sit in their allocated seats. Still there were 4 empty seats in front of me so I moved forward and Dad moved back to at least we could moan at each other about how bad we were. We looked even worse than we had been doing from the West Upper - where again I could see people sitting in mine and Dads seats. Grrr

As for the game itself, where to start....
3 changes to the winning side Sibbick and Hondermark not in the squad again hmmm
For 10 mins we looked decent, the Hull got the Upper hand and were on top for the remaining 80+5 minutes.
I was away during the week and one of the other guests where I was staying is a Hull City fan. He was convinced we would win because they were absolutely dreadful according to him and he couldn’t see either them scoring or keeping a clean sheet I countered with “snap” but he was having none of it especially after our midweek result

I didn’t see Wednesdays game but today we were truly dire. Looked like a scratch team of strangers who had never seen each other before. Continually played the wrong pass (badly) were too slow often in the wrong position. Still trying to work out how we can have only one person in the box when we are attacking but then lose the ball and be totally outnumbered on the break at times it looked like we were playing with only 8 or 9 men (cue quips about Woodrow and Moon etc)

Not advanced Jo’s case for a longer term appointement that’s for sure
    Player ratings from me
    Collins 6
    Moon 4
    Helik 5
    Kitching 4
    Brittain 6
    j Williams 5
    Benson 3
    Gomes 5
    Cole 5
    Iseka 6
    Woodrow 2

    Subs
    Victor 6
    Styles 6
    Palmer 4

    Totally depressed

Pleased you managed to get a mention of our new young whipping boy in there. But your ratings appear to tell slightly different story. One that I agree with, for what it's worth.

Kind to Towie boy Benson unless your minus key isn't working before you out 3. He was blowing out of his arse by half time with his hands on his hips every chance he got. Then after his stupid challenge he had to be taken off before he was sent off. He's brought nothing to the team and is our biggest waste of money maybe since him that Hull took off.

I specifically mentioned Moon because every one is picking on him. I thought he was no worse than several others. Woodrow however. Oh dear I’d have taken him off rather than Cole

Do you mean moon? I thought he was absolutely awful today however I blame the manager (s) for that not him. He's a young lad learning his trade and he's being shifted around all over the place. Needs a rest and a slow reintroduction to the side not just throwing in at the deep end

Cole was injured apparently, which is a pity as I thought he'd looked pretty dangerous.

Not seen the game, but am assuming moon was moved to the right of Helik again, with Kitching moving to the left? Just means he’s being messed about again.

    Only had Twitter commentary to go of. Which suggested the following;

Hull wanted it more. Which, frankly, is unacceptable

Our midfield were totally dominated. Which isn’t surprising. There won’t be many teams give the space Derby did, so having two kids outnumbered in midfield will rarely end well.

Woodrow wasn’t mentioned until his post match interview

Our best chance went to Cole. If it’s as bad a miss as made out, that’s 3 times in 4 games he’s been guilty of it.

Our only other chance of note fell to brittain, and frankly you’d get shorter odds on Collins scoring for us.

No leadership in the team. Have to ask, who is going to step up and provide it because someone needs to

Does that all sound about right?

Pretty fair summary. Cole chance not a complete sitter but he did get a good clean jump and headed well wide should have at least tested their keeper. Otherwise spot on

With every passing game Benson reminds me more and more of Moncur. The talents there sure but the desire and fitness not so much.

I’d have Moncur over him right now. As for Hull’s number 10, I’d gladly do a swap. Honeyman, think they got him on a free (or small fee) from Sunderland.

Why is he the whipping boy? He was piss-poor yesterday and people have rightly pointed it out. Are players exempt from criticism?

Benson’s nowhere near 100% fit yet. He was decent early in the season & I’m sure he’ll get back to that after the international break.

It’s a mess. I’ve never known us have so many players not match fit.
