Two goals against Sheff Utd kept him in job..... if that was the case it would have been better if we had lost 0-5 and him be gone. The guy has been dealt a duff hand and has not got the ability, man management skills, charisma ,coaching skills and passion to manage the situation (his buzz word not mine). Wish he would go now and I think the players and the fans would respond in kind..
I think it’s purely down to money. Our owners won’t/can’t find the money to pay him off. Pretty sure he’s here for a good while yet. Maybe they’re hoping he’ll walk away which is highly unlikely.
This I was thinking about earlier. Seen a lot on media about feeling sorry for our coach. Let's go back to the early 80s when big Norman was coach. He had roughly 15/ 16 squad players at his disposal. Yet he motivated them into the best BFC side I can remember. We were all together on the terraces. Cup run knocked 3 top flight teams out of the carling Cup. Took 18 000 fans to Anfield out sung the kop got a draw to lose back at Oakwell. In all honesty if big Norm is looking down he's going to be saying What the **** ,this coach as a squad of 20 young fit lads if he can't motivate them it's time to throw the towel in. Just saying like wish big Norm was in charge of these good young lads .
We got 2 million.for val and money for the other staff I hope they have got money to pay him off I just don't think they like parting with it.
Was actually thinking the other day that could Conway be very callous and let the atmosphere get so toxic that Schopp has no alternative than to walk. I can't believe he gave him a 3 year deal.
I imagine the 3 year deal is to protect our interests should other clubs come calling like they did for Struber and Val. That’s obviously not going to happen with Schopp. I’d be surprised if the severance agreement is more than a year’s salary which surely won’t be more than £250k (most likely less).
Waiting to implement the relegation sacking clause so it doesn’t cost owt. Plus, with the CEOs comments that relegation isn’t a concern, maybe division 3 football is beneficial for the 80% mob,? Lower wages, lower costs, easier to flog players (in the short term).
Might as well get behind the players now and forget about Schopp. I just hope they've got the balls to over rule him like they did for 20 mins v Sheff Utd this Saturday and onwards from the start otherwise we're down.
I wouldn't say it's difficult to overrule a head coach who sits in the dressing room and says bugger all!!
I’m like that now. I’ve felt sorry for myself since that Blackpool game and now I want the players to do well who get treat like **** by Schopp.
“Our owners can’t/won’t pay him off.” That says everything about this Club. The 4th richest owners in the history of English football. Only Manchester City, QPR and Chelsea are owned by richer folk. Of course they won’t pay him off. They have only just authorised a new 13 amp fuse for the scoreboard.
I've always thought Schopp is an amazing manager. Gets the fans talking like no one before him. Tactical decisions are intriguing, relationship with players appears to be extraordinary and results on the pitch are nothing short of transformational since he took charge. Can't see how anyone can disagree with me to be honest.
Not on our own then are we. Do the QPR lot lot spend much? Loftus Road is falling down too. * Yes, I'm sure they prob have spent millions on someone I'm totally unaware of
Looks like M Schopp is here til the next international break at least. I sincerely hope I am wrong and suddenly things take a massive upturn. 1 . Our injury list takes a massive upturn 2 . Tactics change and we revert more to the system that brought so much success last season. 3 Schopps man management skills mean the players are motivated more and the training reflects this 4.We practice set pieces and the players know what their roles are and play to their strengths. 5 Cauley is released from the burden of the captaincy and replaced by Helik. 6 The owners respect their loyal fans and showc as much commitment to the club as the fans do .....Well you can only dream All this will commenced on Saturday as despite the summer and 14 matches into the season.
