It does because west stand people are not all sat together such as @Farnham_Red on a different row to his dad, but those buying a ticket just for Sunday at the moment with availability could buy half a dozen together easily.

I know, I wasn't being facetious. The plot genuinely thickens.

I'm not fully sure ........ I chose new seats yesterday, and unless I wasn't listening properly (thus doing the very helpful lady a dis-service) i was under the impression a new plastic card was on it's way to my home address. In fact, she made a point of telling me to bring the correct one on Sunday because the old card was no longer active.

Perhaps others have already moved seats to graciously help accommodate the West Stand Refugees.
Or perhaps a thousand other people have been and requested a pro rata refund on their ticket due to the shambles.

It's not without much effort the following could have been stated

We have now completed the move of affected supporters to new seats meaning we can now reopen sales for the game on Sunday.

However, to ensure that the displaced supporters have chance to alteration of new seats, we will suspend for future games until we are notified of their position.

At no point have the club stated that the west stand supporters move around had finished.

They just hit a new article saying here ya go loads back on sale. But after this game they are no longer on sale.... Again

I'm totally unaffected, but it is piss poor and rank amateurish Comms. The club just have failed themselves never mind the loyal ticket holders

Well I received 7 paper tickets the day after I called them. They’re on my kitchen table. That was the same day the news broke - thought best to get in early.

I have to confirm asap after the Utd game whether I want to keep all 7 seats where they are, or move elsewhere.

Just looked at the Map
For the East lower they have now opened up the block that was always closed by the away fans - I dont think that was available when Dad went in other than that there is a small block at the front by the corner flag - hardly enticing tickets - in the East Upper there are some in the Family area and thats it - not sure if they were available when Dad went in but he didnt want to climb all the stairs anyway
and there are a fair number at the front of the Ponty - bear in mind most West Standers dont really want to be behind the goal and not in the area that gets wet when it rains we really didnt have much choice

The East Stand bit you mention - that was available to me on the first day.

Essentially, anyone in the West Upper wants to be under cover and snug. It gets no rain or wind up there so they’ll want similar - I did.

Anyone in the West Lower are just pure hardcore, so they’ll just sit anywhere

Is it Weststanders or Westanders?

I think it was the Weststanders that caused the problem. If they'd remained Westsitters and just got wet, they'd have kept it open

Hi @Dub-Tyke
I have received 2 new plastic cards in the post today, with our new seats in the East.
Nothing paper - no mention of a second swap after Sunday, though I appreciate the letter from Khaled mentions "choice of seat needs not be final".

Andy Mac Interesting. Did you kinda confirm the seats as accepted? I didn’t so much. Just said ‘I’ll try those for now’. Maybe that was the difference.

I’ve to phone them on Monday to confirm either way. I’m pretty sure they’ll be fine, unless they’re next to a bunch of idiots.

Took us 5 years to work our way up to the back row of West lower that's slightly sheltered from rain.

At one point I was considering getting a ticket, but couldn’t really justify paying £36 to watch it. Then the club took it out of my hands when they prioritised away fans access over their own fans, 1000 of which were loyal season ticket holders, many of whom will have forked out last season knowing they wouldn’t get to see any games.

Now I’m not sure I can even bring myself to pay the tenner to watch on ifollow if Schopp is still in charge.
