TICKETS FOR BLADES CLASH NOW AVAILABLE Ticket News Ticket sales for the Sheffield United fixture are no longer suspended. Continue reading on the official site...
This simply means all the West Stand season ticket holders, have either confirmed their new seat, or had a full refund. Therefore they can go on sale again until Saturday night. Seems straight forward to me, and they pretty much explained that when I phoned up for my West Stand exchange tickets
Oh, and the suspension of further home games, is to allow all West Stand ticket holders chance to confirm they’re happy with their seats, or move again after Sunday’s game.
Why doesn't the article say that? And why does a bloke on the BBS know that when nobody else does? Or is it simply a guess?
He mentioned they explained when he called them up. But yes they should have mentioned it in the article. To use their business speak technique, I would argue the club are being reactive rather than proactive. I also find their methods especially patronising, based on the evidence so far. It is as if they are weaving a tale, creating their own narrative as they go along etc. Edit: when I say 'club' I refer to the 80% mob.
I thought he meant that the reason they explained everyone had had their choice now when he called. His other point was a separate post so I didn't realise they'd explained that to him too. That begs the question why has one fan had everything explained when others haven't? Incompetence at best
I completely agree. And it's unfair on the club employees in the box office, allowing them to trickle out news to individual fans when they (the 80%) don't have the courtesy to address the fanbase at large themselves. It's all very sloppy.
Looked on Eticketing and there is quite a few places people can sit together and even in decent sized groups.
Absolutely not defending anything else, but in this post https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2021/october/single-match-tickets/ they did say, and i quote "Until supporters affected by the closure of the West Stand have been relocated to an alternative seat, single match tickets in home areas will not be on general sale. Once this process has been completed, supporters will be able to purchase tickets as normal and the Club will communicate this in due course."
It is but it's so typical of them. They act disgracefully then make their employees deal with he fall out. It's the actions of cowards and the worst kind of employer. I really feel for the club staff who give a damn because they are having their hands tied
To be fair, the original article alluded to it, but didn’t quite specifically say it. So here’s what happens- 1) You discuss in detail and get replacement paper tickets for YOUR choice of seats in the remaining areas for the Sheff Utd game. These are then tentatively reserved going forward. 2) After the Sheff Utd game, you have to call back or visit, to confirm the acceptance of these seats going forward, or try different ones. 3) If you confirm you’re happy - you get a re-printed card. 4) If you wish to try another seat, you get printed tickets again. 5) Even once confirmed, the club will work with you to change for another seat, if you so wish. 6) To facilitate the above, it’s far easier when no Matchday tickets have been sold for a game - as it gives you the ultimate scenario where only reserved seating is taken, the rest will be free. 7) I commented when this happened - this scenario was not a pre-planned one. As they couldn’t pick a worst time to do it with Sheff Utd tickets already on sale. The box office had a nightmare few days/weeks sorting it. 8) Based on point 7, something changed which meant they had to make the change then. Otherwise, it would have been far easier to do it before Utd tickets went on sale, or after the game itself. That’s the bit nobody knows yet, but hopefully will come out from the CEO soon.
I agree. I don’t think it’s been hidden at all. I pretty much received the service that I thought I would have. They could have detailed it more I guess, but it was straight forward enough to do it. I just think a lot of fans (mainly those not affected by the move) probably didn’t read the article in full right to the bottom.
I also see Khaled in a similar vein (others may disagree). But I absolutely see him as Conway's puppet who must tow the party line or he'll be out on his arse faster than you can say 21 word statement. Feel sorry for the guy really. He'll no doubt get dog's abuse Thursday and my question would be: where's Chien? Followed by: where's Conway?
