    Maybe not but as the club is responsible for upkeep of the stadium not the council (as per the lease) then why would the surveyor cover up issues? If anything they'd be pretending their are more issues to force the tenant to do more repairs

    Again, why couldn't a club appointed surveyor have inspected the ground on 22nd September?

    My money is still on shortage of Stewards.

    And the stewards we can get are directed to the away stand.....

    Exactly, folk need to stop pretending that they have any clue about the situation. Yes, be miffed about having to relocate but don't apportion blame because you've no idea about the details of that decision yet.

    Dear oh dear....proffesional business men resorting to what in old money is a face book spat and getting their laundry out in public and in view of the kids!
    This is embarassing.....please think of the fans, please......oh and start being more transparent and try telling the truth once in a while to the paying public.

    We all know there are problems with the West Stand,asbestos roof,leaking roof,frame works which were rotten and had to be replaced.In a lot of respects any of those faults could be reason to temporarily close the stand down.
    Personally I have no issue with the findings because by and large the West Stand is no longer fit for purpose.
    My concern is that there seems a lot of posturing by ALL parties when they should be sat round a table trying to solve the problem.
    One more thing,what happens if Barnsley Fc were telling the truth and there has been some underhand dealings which were kept from them,only a thought.I'd like to think people could refrain from accusations until all the facts are brought in to the public.I'll sit on the fence until that day.

    I really can't be arsed reading through whole thread. I'm not sure why people are getting so upset. I'm mostly concerned with the product on the field.

    I see the abuse being thrown towards the board, claiming greed, with no proof, and telling them to go away, in no uncertain terms. Then what?

    If Conway had received a notice saying that use of the west stand was presently prohibited, firstly we'd know cos he'd tell us and secondly there'd be no uproar such as there is, because he'd have his excuse for kicking everyone out.

    Of course if thats the case but state the detailed reason for inconveniencing and removing all the fans from that stand 2 months into a season when the landlord, local authority and mp have called ******** on the initial statement
