£30k/year cap on all wages, staff and players. All clubs run by supporters’ trusts, with profits being put into local communities. Fiver a ticket. Kids a quid. Any company can bid whatever sum for the tv rights, but again the excess profit goes into local communities as a social enterprise. Deliberately walking away with the ball after conceding a foul or a throw in is punishable by death. Vote for me in 2024
30k a year? There’s too much money in football but you couldn’t do that. You’d have players walking away from the game doing daft things like getting educated and getting a better paid job.
Football would only be played by Poles and other east Europeans, because the British footballers couldn’t be arsed for only £30k.
Or just playing abroad. It’s a global labour market. And £30k PA wouldn’t buy a 1 bed flat in most cities in Europe.
Maybe the players could supplement their income by training to be stewards? Then, when Phase Five was announced, the ref would stop his watch so the new stewards could take up their positions.
Was it during last weeks “phase 5” that the ball was kicked into the TV gantry by Collins ? I think that may have led to the closure of the West Stand !
Yep, it was the extra weight of the ball that over-stressed the stand foundations and led to the closure.
Always said that all clubs should be forced to use a percentage of TV money to contribute to sports in the local community.
