Happy to respond to this but to keep it brief. - No belittling of anyone. Actually the opposite and more about looking out for a regular poster as they teeter towards the edge of their posts crossing the line. It was also a repeat of a comment a few days ago when a quick outburst almost did the same. - Would I expect someone to post it to me? In the same scenario 100% - How does someone join in on this particular discussion and the actual post I replied to? How do you argue for or against this one? - Do we ever get to that point? Highly doubt it. But suggesting someone takes ten when they’re all over the BBS making emotional comments they might later regret is hardly the scene that you’re describing. Miles away in fact - There’s zero superiority. As admin, their posts are trending towards people pushing the report button. That’s all. Saying our owners are worse for the club than a pair of convicted paedophiles is hardly a good look for the BBS - It isn’t a tactic for shutting anyone up. It’s saying calm down/be careful
but taking a breather can mean you make your point without the need to bring child abusers into it. At least, that's what I'm assuming Ben meant but I could be wrong!
Of course I did Helen. As in just have a think before you post sometimes rather than ‘take ten and sit in the corner because your opinion is worthless and my opinion is far superior to yours’
Please don't encourage him. I'm sure most of us understood that @SuperTyke's post wasn't to be taken literally. It was an extreme example in order to illustrate a point.
Bloody hell that's rich coming from you! You've been rude to me on more than one occasion in the past. Get off your high horse.
I'm sure he wouldn't rather have them running the club either BUT thinking before you speak (or write) isn't a bad habit to get into to avoid offensive hyperbole.
