Does it not seem that we fans are like the children in the middle of an acrimonious parental divorce? We have no voice in what's happening. Now we're told we're being uprooted from the West Stand. Forced to leave our home. We know that somebody else is responsible for paying the bills and maintaining the roof over our heads (subject to seat number). We're simple and we expect that. But then again the grown ups are getting our season ticket (child benefit) dosh to deal with these things. Why are they not using the money we've paid in season ticket fees to fix whatever is wrong with the West Stand? Don't come it with any argument about whose responsible for repairs or the toys will be chucked out of the pram - that repair issue will have been legally nailed down years ago. You would expect the parents to be able to keep a roof over the childrens heads while the divorce settlement drags on. But these are the kind of parents who don't care about us whilst they argue amongst themselves. They only care about who gets the money.
Fans have the ultimate sanction. They can just stop going. Well, as of next season's season ticket renewal. Football fans are almost entirely incapable of acting in any coordinated or sensible manner though.
