It's a new one on me is that. Apparently a structurally unsafe stand doesn't cause you any harm if you write for a living
A dozen or so people in it will have been signed off. Plus that's where the entire infrastructure is to support them doing their jobs I suppose.
Can someone explain why the front of the stand is being closed to fans theres no access issues with it i can see no narrow staircases etc and it's not part of the main fabric of the original seated stand.
You know when it comes to things we aren't all in it together. Look at unvaccinated Swansea and Cardiff fans now banned from watching their club while unvaccinated players and other staff can continue as normal.
How so? Structural issues mean that the stand isn't safe to use for either spectators or a dozen directors so why don't structural issues affect anyone with a media badge on? I don't think it's a silly thing to mention at all
Just visit any motor racing event; you’ll see accredited photographers all over areas that are too dangerous for spectators.
No But because motorsport clearly is flipping dangerous. Your post made me smile because if you attend any motorsport event you’ll hear spectators complaining about the photographers in dangerous places impeding their view. And they use nigh on exactly the same phrase. Throw in a couple of ‘blue tabards make you invincible’.
Are both dugouts under the West Stand umbrella? A flimsy perspex sheet isn't going to stop Schopp and co getting squished like flies by a falling TV gantry And God help his digital clock.
Safe for 10 people or 100 people is a lot different to safe for multiple thousands of people. You know this, you're just being purposely awkward.
Apparently the west stand is so dangerous sky have drafted in Kate Adie for the next home match whilst Brian Hanarhan is expected to be in charge of the head count.....so as not to give away any details.....
I’d like to direct the jury to the previous “purposely awkward” comment. I never even mentioned the directors.
The inspection has probably been based on what would happen if the stand was full to capacity. I don't know exactly, but say the stand holds 2,000 on that one side, that's considerably more than the dozen or so journalists who have been given access to the stand. Special consideration might have been given for the fact that there are no other broadcast facilities inside the stadium (I presume) too.
You’re not making much sense so I’m just going to put my point in another way: Would you get in a lift with 2 other people? 10 other people? 100 other people? 10,000 other people? Things that hold people having limits on the number of people is not something that should be a new concept to you. It being safe for a smaller number of people does not indicate that there’s a conspiracy or whatever you’re trying to suggest with this ridiculous thread.
