I actually can't remember a time when this BBS was so unanimously in favour of sacking the manager

The Blackburn game was the moment I wanted him out. They were there for the taking that day, their performance was no way reflective of their league position, but we were so lacking going forward it was embarrassing.

We’ve had one genuinely good half of football in his tenure away at QPR. The rest has been ok at best but mainly desperately poor.

We play dull football with no style or plan at the moment , no improvement and judging on players comments , there isn’t much coaching happening . Hoping we get rid , if not we’ve got to hope the return of a few players will improve us .

This assessment would appear to be backed up by Brittain's comments, and by reports of our games. How does that happen with our supposedly sophisticated use of data to analyze coaches' preferred playing styles?

It seems we’ve bought a dud , and looking at his win percentages it looks like it’s the norm .

    I don't want him sacked.

We've lost a great central midfielder & target man in Mowatt/Dike. We've not replaced Mowatt, our target man will never play for us, the left back signed to shift Styles in centre hasn't played yet & We've a lad from Forest Green and our academy laiking in a back three. Add in Morris injury early doors & We've lost pretty much all semblance of footballing ability from the side.

This core group has been **** for two years when asked to play in front of other human beings & when We've thought we could actually play football. Last season an aberration in terms of Val's unreal motivational skills & pragmatism coupled with the maturity of Mowatt & Dike/Morris impact from the off. Add in the loss of pretty much every backroom member of staff and CEO, there's plenty of context for us being ****.

And let's not forget our defensive record still looks pretty decent. We just can't score. And then that comes back to Mowatt/Dike/Morris being lost/unavailable.

Recruitment at fault this year added with extra expectations IMHO.

That's a very reasoned post, Liam. I was also of a similar opinion until the Blackpool game, but it's the complete lack of discernible plan which has swung me. Plus I don't think you can really compare the players to how they were at the start of the 2019-20 season. Most of them were just bairns then. They've now all had two years of big boys' football in the second tier. Plus the majority of them are very decent footballers. Mid-table should not be a big ask.

I agree with some of this. I'm a bit puzzled the two lads we have on loan from Bayern / Man City are not featuring. Surely you bring in loan players that have the ability to come into the team, or why sign them? The dip in performances throughout the team are most worrying, as are the number of chances that we are creating.

The loss of Morris was a big blow. For me he is our most all round complete forward player, but I'm not sure even when he returns we will create enough chances for him with the way we are setting up.

Some of the problems may lie with the loss of the backroom coaching staff, particularly Murray, who was praised by VI for improving our set pieces last season.
I'm at a loss why our top goalscorer is taking corners. There are far too many unanswered questions, but for me performances / results are always the responsibility of the head coach. I don't see any of his decisions recently making much sense and his pre and post match interviews do not inspire me with any confidence in him. No wonder some of the players seem to be questioning him too.

For me we need a shake up, before it is too late. I'm not usually one of the ones to be calling for the manager's head. Even when Lee Johnson was on that terrible run there were signs things were turning around, but the last three performances have probably been the worst of what has been a very disappointing start. Only Iseka's performance was a bright spot on Saturday. It was a blow he had to come off. Hopefully it was just cramp.

Sadly for me he has to go. Other than Morais, the head coach appointments have been good by the new owners, but I think in this case it's just not working out.

Sorry but when you’ve clearly lost the players then it’s time to go.

Does the long term plan include another season in league one?
I’m the happiest clapper of the lot, but even I can’t see a solution. Even with a full squad, that just leaves him more toys to get bored with..

    Bang on.

Schopp has got it badly wrong in the last 3 games but before that I think he was making the right decisions on the whole.

If I was him I’d feel very hard done to if he got the sack now before he’d had the chance to put out anything close to a full strength side especially with the **** show behind the scenes & pretty much all the coaching staff changing.

We’ve seen how good Anderson & Morris are & in only a couple of games we saw how good Benson looked. Putting them 3 down the spine of this team will transform us for the better. Then there’s the wild cards of Vita, Gomes, Oulare & Iseka. A couple of them come good on top of Collins, Helik, Brittain, Styles, Palmer & Woodrow & you’ve got a decent side however you set up.

Philosophically I suppose I agree with all of these points. But I paid a tenner to watch us against Bournemouth, so I can't get my heart to follow.
