I read from the club statement that we have a replacement lined up for that. Just hope it’s not one that worked under Schopp at Hartburg
The worrying thing is that the new goalkeeping coach will probably be brought in by Schopp, likely someone he’s worked with before at another club. If that’s the case, I guess we can rule out Schopp leaving any time soon.
Not sure if that will be the case. Unlikely to qualify on the points system - probably one of the reasons he hasn’t been able to bring in his own team. As much as it’s been a disaster thus far. It can’t have helped that he hasn’t brought in a single coach of his own. One to consider if the inevitable happens and we’re looking for a new manager.
Goalkeeping coaches are rarely chopped and changed when managers move. They just tend to move themselves after 2-3 years to freshen things up. Otherwise with the low-turnover of keepers, you end up training the same guys for years. No good for the keepers or coach. My choice would be Andy Woodman, but it’s highly unlikely he’ll come/be interested. The only benefit is being up North closer to his son.
Somebody on Twitter pointed out that the tweets he's liked following the announcement don't make things look good.
I think he’s just liked every tweet that’s been sent to him. (Still think it’s an odd move to make mid season) watch him rock up at WBA
