I worked at pub yesterday pre match. One blowk who I know well who rarely misses a match either home or away had 8 STs going spare.......

He couldn't give them away. Another lad had 2 and Id got 1.

We all know the club read the board. I'm only stating facts. Only because if all of a sudden the pub had a massive group of regulars who stopped coming I'd want to know why and try and remedy it.
Fair enough I know that their money is already spent in the ST way......... but the 'matchday experience' and next season's possible revenue potential will be crippling.

I've honestly never seen so many empty seats that should be taken up by season ticket holders

West Stand wasn't empty, we were all on the rear gangway sheltering and trying not to laugh at the steward's attempts to ask us to take our seat.

Even though he had SUPERVISOR on his jacket, he was that flustered he threatened to call the SUPERVISOR to sort us out.

Thankfully she arrived and was blessed with more than a modicum of common sense

Yeah I think there will be many stories like this. We haven’t been to the last 2 home games. There are other reasons not just apathy but the motivation to make the effort to make the games vs not doing so have aired on the latter. In fact it’s becoming a habit and I’m not sure whether I’ll be bothered come the next one.

Perfect storm of outside issues and on the pitch ones.

I know three people absent yesterday through Covid/Quarantine which meant the whole group didn’t go. I’m sure there were a few more as well.

Those who are not yet fully comfortable coming to the game, so with awful weather and an awful product on the pitch, they stay at home.

Those who hate the weather. Those who have completely lost interest. Those who don’t want to waste the additional costs associated with coming to a game they don’t enjoy.

I think there’s also a case that after over a season without football, other priorities and people have a bigger say on your Saturday daytime. You don’t want to not have a season ticket, but the motivation to attend at the sacrifice of other things is lessened vs. previous years. There’s many habits/routines that lockdown created and it’s hard to break them.

    Sad thing is, I was a s/t non-attender yesterday.
Last season was a defining moment for a lot of people. Watching on ifollow became the norm and even though 11000 renewed or bought for the first time the ease of missing a home game is now the norm.
We were offered s/ts at a very good price so we can pick and choose our games just as easily as if we were paying on the day.
Those who travel a long way will now, based on current performances, decide that it's not worth the effort, thus the empty seats.

I decided not to attend yesterday. Partly due to my disillusionment at the current state of the club and team, and partly because of the weather. If I'm being totally honest I'm more concerned at the state of the club in general, than the current run of results. After all, there have been a number of such winless runs over the years. But I'm struggling to remember a time, certainly in recent years, when there was such an air of overall disarray; issues surrounding the ownership and the stadium; the apparent mass exodus of staff; the idea that in pre-season there was basically no-one looking after the players and their fitness (the consequences of which are becoming only too apparent) etc. etc. Let's hope things start to look up sooner rather than later.

We were all for setting off at 2pm then chalked fook on it. I know my other mates I see at the game have stopped going as well.

Rain wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be from the forecast
Need to dig my hat and scarf out soon though, but I don't intend to miss any home games this season.
