Just wondered what it will be like in our changing room pre kick off...the players must kno that if we lose the guy at the front will most likely be gone. I'm not sure he ever had their full support and they like us must have half a thought for who could come in.

I hope they're up for the battle! No professional footballer should want to do anything other than win.

Why would the players be thinking one more loss and the coach will be gone? The only talk about Schopp being sacked is from the supporters. There has been no communication from the owners (surprise surprise) to suggest they are thinking of getting rid.

Irrespective of whether they like him or not the players owe us a performance. I really hope some of them aren't playing below their potential because they want him out. Just like those Leicester players who **** all over Rainieri after winning the league.
As much as I think the club made a big mistake in appointing Schopp then I hope he gets the win today and the players put in a good performance. If we lose in a similar fashion to Wednesday then he has to go.

I don’t think he’ll get sack even if we loose today think them in charge haven’t got a quick acting bone between em

I'm as frustrated as everyone else with Schopp and seriously doubt that his way of doing things are going to turn results around whatever players he has available. But he won't be sacked today because it's just too soon, I'd expect the international break and the following month to be a last chance saloon for him to turn his ideas into wins.

Really? They didn't hang around when Stendel got off to a similarly awful start, and he'd earned a lot of grace after the previous season.

We were pretty quick to move Stendel on, and Morais to be fair. Schopp was also a fairly rapid appointment.

Not sure the owners have been that guilty of not acting quickly. Conway doesn’t strike me as someone who would give a Head Coach too long if results were poor and supporters universally unhappy.

It’s the manner of the result today for me. If we scrap for our lives and lose, fair dos. If we capitulate like we did against Forest, then I’d be announcing his departure after the match. International break gives a caretaker some time to come up with a plan for the next match, and try to galvanize. Personally I’d give it to Disco.

I’d do it before full time if it’s another gutless performance aka Blackpool and Forest tbh

With stendel they had a way to sack him without paying any compensation. With morais it was the same. We haven't seen how quick or slow they act in general when they have to pay money out

I didn’t say give him the top job by the way. I suggested giving him the caretaker job. But to answer the question. He knows the town, the Club, the fans, the squad. I think those things are very important at this moment. And I can’t imagine anyone could make a bigger balls up than Schopp is making right now.

How much of that do we actually know is true?

Regardless of compensation paid out or not, the comment was they’re slow to act. But we’ve seen zero evidence of that really. Other than replacing Kiefer Moore and appointing Struber, but I guess they were vilified on that one.

    All of it.
They stated that stendel was sacked for breach of contract.
They stated that Jose morais had a clause allowing his dismissal if he failed to keep us up.

I did say we've not seen if they're quick to act or slow to act when money has to change hands

Does that categorically mean no compensation was paid though?

You can sack someone for alleged breach of contract but that doesn’t mean a settlement wasn’t agreed.

Exactly. All Disco has to do is put players in their correct positions. In fact, I reckon if ANY manager had come in and done just that (including my school PE teacher) in conjunction with playing any clear system that the players understood, we'd be several places higher up the league than we are now.

It will be way too late by then if recent form continues. We need to get the players heads lifted & play to our strengths as quickly as possible. We are in a relegation scrap.

Totally agree that the direction of travel is downwards and not really surprising considering we've been poor for most of the season. Managers tend to lose the plot with strange selections before they get the sack and Schopp is showing signs of this too. I'd be happy to see him go but I just think he'll get a bit longer.
