MARKUS SCHOPP ON LIONS CLASH Interviews The Head Coach previewed our next league clash, against Millwall tomorrow. Continue reading on the official site...
It reads like somebody who is deluded, who thinks we can just carry on like we have done, because the mediocre showings haven't been as bad as the diabolical ones.
Need support from our fans? So we are to blame? 3000 fans singing our heads off at Blackpool, 13000 at home games! And what does our ‘head coach’ do??? Turn a blind eye to every single one of us as though we are not f***in there!! Next time you walk down that tunnel Schopp keep walking pal. Ryanair doing deals at minute
All he's said is that we need the support of the fans whilst we're going through a difficult spell. Jesus Christ, I know things are going badly, but he's not Idi Amin FFS.
He isn't Anti Histamine either. I find it quite irritating that he's still in a job after a run of crap results.
The thing is though. He's doing a press conference and he's asked a question about the fans. He's asked for our support and backing during games. Slate him before and after, but let's try to create a decent atmosphere and back the lads whilst we're low on confidence. What good is it getting on people's backs during the game?
I wanted to reply with this but I'm getting regular comments about defending the club too much or being too positive. So I abstained! At least he's not Pep Guardiola begging the fans to turn up.......
I'm looking forward to the game tomorrow. I look forward to every game. More so when we're on a losing run or winless run because I'm hoping today's the day my kebab, curry or Chinese will taste that bit sweeter and I can look forward to watching Quest. Events over the ninety minutes dim my view during these spells.
Being the daft, old bugger I am, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's game. I'm not blind to the truly pathetic performances we've witnessed this campaign, especially in September. However, throughout the many years of following Barnsley, there's been more bad runs than I care to remember. During those runs, I've always gone to the matches convinced that that particular game would be the one which ends the sequence. There's no doubt my few remaining brain cells have called it a day!
I'm looking forward to tomorrow id like to see some attacking intent, a structure of play, and a well organised side from front to back..... over to you marcus
Bit sad that people are now trying to find any excuse to hammer the manager. The only thing which I think he could be criticised for in the above interview, is his assertion that we have created enough chances. Which I don't think is particularly true if just taking the forest game into account. We've been pretty rubbish the last couple games and it is worrying that we appear to be getting worse as opposed to better. However, I think any manager should be given more than 10 games considering the changes to the squad over the summer and the current injury list. If he shows no signs of turning it around after another 5 games or so, then yes fair enough, I can see an argument for him being sacked. But I would like to think we could be a bit more patient as a fanbase and club.
I’m not really seeing these chances that we’re supposedly creating. The last few games especially we haven’t created anywhere near enough with regards to actual chances and testing the goalkeeper.
I'm not sure what he's said there that's so controversial to be honest. Yes, he's said solutions again, but he's given responses to what he's been asked and been pretty open.
