@Gally thank you for the write up. An awful lot of words, I just hope he is successful. However that is defined.
Ben, Linton, Gauthier and Dane He said they are all crap in comparison as non of them had their own slogan (Corrected it was late and I was in a rush )
I am trying to grow. Give it three weeks & I'll be asking what his son has to do with the recruitment department until he tells me to f.ck off.
Thanks for taking the time @Gally, especially as you weren't there. Just a bit of feedback though for the supporters trust, I found that really hard to read. I can see why you'd try to use transcription software to give the full responses, but in this case I think the output is less useful than the more succinct summaries that the ST usually publishes after the events. This isn't a criticism because if it were you'd rightly say "well attend and summarise it yourself then," just saying if the ST is considering whether to put out a short summary from notes or a full transcript in future, I'd suggest the summary is better. I thoroughly enjoyed this passage though, was like having Hemsworth Tyke back on the forum: Jason: Yeah. And you talked about growing the club and how does how does a club grow commercially? Because the the 1.5 million pound the below Rotherham in commercial from when they were in League One. 2.3 in the Championship? So that's just not good enough. That really, really isn't good enough. You know, you talked about the the the the back of the shirt sponsor the last time bounced out front of their sponsors jams to go with someone else. They missed it. And then we have this really small company in the local area. You know, when we look back at John that was called the construction company of the Stones, that kind of meant that that's not good enough. You know, we've got to we've got to grow. You know, I look at somebody like Husky. You know, they're wanted to grow and you're probably aware of them. And the tagline is chocolate the Red Bull chocolate milk they represent.
The bit that concerned me was him insinuating that he'll be doing a good job if him and his family are happy. What's that got to do with Barnsley F.C? The Titanic sinking would have been great if you were a Penguin.
I wonder what Peter Markstedt said to him when they talked. I am sure it was nothing but positive memories from his time with us. What does cashless coming soon mean? That we will have the opportunity to use a cashless option like card alongside cash or they are completely doing away with cash? He didn't really tell us that much from what Gally wrote up. Would have been good to know west stand plans, plans to go back to being able to sell every seat in our ground, chances of splitting the north stand as it was built should we get bigger games, why we can never play our biggest home games at 3 pm on a saturday, fanzone plans, how to deal with ground issues due to the MEN Arena report etc.
A fair point also made by others offline. I tried something new but think maybe it wasnt an ideal way to get the message across and a summary might have been better
I'm hoping you would have got a full summary on the back of a postage stamp. I all seriousness though, thank you @Gally for your efforts.
Glad you mentioned this. I was reading it in sections in between bits of work and thought that was contributing to not being able to read it easily. Then I thought the new chaps English must be really bobbins, then Jasons text began and that was just as bad, so I bowed out at that point. Appreciate the effort to get it to people, but it is an epic word salad. Priti Patel might be proud of such an effort!
interesting comparison - re Penguins - if they were on the Titanic (can't believe I'm typing this crap - but hey-ho!) and the Titanic sank it would be catastrophic for Penguins as they can't/don't survive in the Arctic and it's a distance to flap/swim your way to the Antarctic from where the Titanic sank.
