Interview up on IPlayer. Got some definite David Brent vibes going on! Hope he works out, got a good pedigree
Unfortunately unless some key players sign extensions we can't assess him until January. There is communication but with the situation regarding the Cryne's and Council what will he say that we don't know? To be honest I don't envy him. Sponsorship and hospitality?
Let’s be reyt here, like Dane he’s only here to be a mouthpiece for them at the top, he’ll make another appearance when season ticket renewal season comes around.
It’s all just sterile talk. On pitch things have changed under the new owners. Off pitch practically nothings changed or been improved.
In what way , I attend every home game & the only difference I have seen has been the ticket issue regarding getting in which in fairness was not the clubs fault & in fact they were very clear with updates regarding the situation but I have not noticed where we are going backwards off the pitch or is another opportunity for club bashing ?
If you know anything about me, you know I don't do club bashing. Off the field we're going backwards because we don't/can't invest/improve the infrastructure. Cool paintings and a temporary fanzone don't really cut it for me unfortunately. If we don't start to improve the ground soon it will start to seriously impact the matchday experience.
The ground issue needs sorting pronto, end of the day we need a ground and the town benefits from having a football club. It needed money spending on it well before the new owners arrived. Time for all parties to swallow their prides and sort it. The club represents our town and gives us plenty of media attention. The new town centre development needs visitors, football brings thousands into the town every other week.
Explain to me which part of the infrastructure effects the matchday experience because none of it effects mine, I turn up every match at about 10 to 3 , take my seat which is a cracking view from the west stand & watch the match & go home , I have no problems with the matchday experience apart from the result which is always up & down.
Just had a conversation with someone who was present at the introduction to the sponsors. He was very impressed with his outlook and his knowledge. Plus a wealth of connections within the game. Couldn't speak highly enough of him.
Hey if you enjoy sitting in an Edwardian relic and find the facilities over there acceptable, then that's up to you. But I want a community ground that can be used 365 days of the year and one that actually makes us some brass instead of costing us. Also, having 4 fully useable stands would be nice. Each to their own though.
Care to expand please, what doesn"t happen , what exactly do you mean , is there something happening that I am missing ?
This season alone? - ran out of food - no Fanzone - Redfearn's shut - locked out - card didn't work - tannoy 400000 decibels - North Stand shambles - West Stand shambles - scoreboard issues - toilets out of order That's without even really thinking. Now I love this club, but the one thing we need to improve is making the hour before a game fun.
