I was thinking that yesterday got to ground quite early would have had a pint in there was usually rammed when open in previous years.
All because of the absolute nonsensical beevor closure which is at the wrong side of the ground with no emergency access anyway.
Regardless of who owns the stadium the Conway and co need to spend some cash and buy a new one to generate revenue
The fan experience is non-existent right now. Nothing for kids to do, other than have a kick about in the car park. Nothing at half time. I’m putting it down to some level of restriction still being in place. But yeah, so far all pretty poor.
I enjoyed having the scores for every game down to league two read out at a volume that made my ears ring!
I mean it served a purpose but all in all it wasn’t that great was it? Restricted numbers, outside with no shelter, so meaningless during the winter months. Something more permanent needs sorting, but that’s another issue.
Why does our announcer feel the need to read out all the scores anyway? It's no effort to check the scores on your phone on the way out if you really want to know. The volume was ridiculous as well. If our owners think that pumping up the volume of the tannoy adds to the "match day experience" then I'm afraid they are wrong. It's just irritating as far as I am concerned.
My hearing is a bit dull without aids but I heard him far too loud and clear! If there is a terrific din in the ground fair enough, but half of that volume would have been enough for everyone to hear. Like I said though I don't need to hear the football results. I'm not interested in how Salford City or Stevenage Borough got on. I'll check that later
Isn’t this a little bit ‘I’m Alright Jack’? Phone service is sketchy at best in Oakwell during the game and anything that helps get people off their phone and talking can only be a positive. I liked hearing all the scores. Thought Dave did a great job as well. I’m guilty of only focusing on my acca and forgetting there’s another 50 odd teams playing so I appreciate it - especially on the way out.
Phone service is a bit hit and miss but it is definitely too loud, and my hearing isn't 100% due to tinnitus.
Dunt matter how much he shouts darn his microphone, all we get in our part of the Ponty is incomprehensible muffled sounds this has gone on for decades, Ridsdale got someone to solve it once but it lasted abart 3 games before reverting to type.
Judging by social media I think it’s inconsistent around the stadium and even in different pockets. Volume was spot on for me but others are saying they couldn’t hear a thing.
Far too loud in the West Upper. Can’t hear myself think seriously thinking about taking ear defenders next match. I like the scores being read out though
