I’m not overly thrilled with performances up to now, and 6 points from 6 games isn’t a great return. I would have hoped for more at this stage before a ball was kicked.

Whilst the league table is still in its infancy it’s still a very decent form guide after 6 games. 5 of our 6 opponents are in the leagues top 8, with Luton also in the top half of the table.

That suggests to me we’ve had a tough start. Add in all the other factors, new manager, losing 2 excellent players, visa-gate, several injuries, perhaps we’re not the nailed on relegation certainties some on here are predicting?

We’re not playing well, are there’s definitely an argument to say we’re a little lucky to have 6 points. But we’ve found a way to get them and who knows, new tactics gelling, players returning, ‘easier’ games, we might be happy again soon enough if we’re patient.

I do think there’s more pain to come before the next international window and the table might not be a pretty sight by then, but we’ll be reight.

When the inevitable happens and they tear it up and start again. Bring in another Sollbauer and James type in January to maybe stay up. Nothing against Schopp but it doesn't always work out.

We've played none of the relegated teams from last season yet and its very early to look at the table and take any real notice of it. I'm abit worried by what I've seen performance wise and results but we have some games we should be looking to win coming up so hopefully by October have a few more points.

Don’t disagree with any of that. We need to improve. A lot. But I think there’s room to do so that’s all.

Yes I’m a little worried by performance don’t get me wrong. As I’ve just said to SD I think there’s reasons and plenty of wriggle room to make those improvements at this stage.

There’s 5 games before the next break and I don’t see many of the unavailable lads getting back to full match fitness before then. I predict maybe 4 points from this run of games and is flirting with the bottom 3. I remain hopeful longer term though.

That's about where I am. Had a little look at the WBA forum and the Val love in has lessened after their draw yesterday. Definite sense of deja vu!

I hope we pick up a couple of wins in that time. The international breaks can be a real killer if you aren't picking up points.

What concerns me is that game after game a non striker starts in the front three while actual strikers sit on the bench.

That leaves the sneaking suspicion that someone rather important and a vital cog in the machine doesn't know his arsehole from his elbow.

Well I'm not going that far yet SD and I know he has had limited options up front so far but I do find it bizarre that a player who has not nailed down a place in his supposed natural positions is now deemed a striker. There must be other options including adapting our formation to the players available. That said we started with TWO actual strikers on the bench yesterday.

He needs to switch to 3-5-2 and get the three in central midfield asap.

I'd agree though now Isseka is in the squad we do have three strikers to start. If the formation remains the same then he HAS to play even if it's only for the first 60 minutes.
