    Maria Mendiola of Baccara fame had died aged 69. Yes Sir she could boogie but now she has gone to make music in that great disco in the sky.

    Sad news.
    I must admit to having that single in the house 1977 or 78. My wife bought it.
    Read somewhere that the two girls from Baccara had fallen out and did not speak anymore.

    Yes from the BBC NEWS website they fell out and both went on performing one with Baccara, the other with New Baccara. Whilst still,together they appeared in the Eurovision Song Contest representing Luxembourg and finished 7th.
