Telling us what his next five fights will be by the end of 2022. Hope he's right because it would be some schedule.

No chance. He never fights. He’s never made a world title defence

We all know why he didn't defend the belts first time round. He had one stripped within a week for taking the Wlad rematch, then he ballooned in weight, got busted for drugs, disappeared into a dark hole. Titles relinquished. Which Joshua then picked up afterwards. No excuse for that from me. I love Tyson, but it seems pretty clear cut that only he was to blame for that period of time. Be that the alleged cheating or falling into a drug/alcohol fuelled depression. Who knows.

And he only won the WBC in his last fight. And whilst yes, it's been so long since that fight (19 months), we were led to believe he was going to fight AJ and it was obvious they were delaying that hoping for crowds/more cash etc. Let's not forget, when Fury absolutely embarrassed Wilder, COVID arrived around that time, lockdown swiftly followed a couple of weeks later.

Not excusing any of the delays and all the nonsense, not at all. I think boxing sucks in that regard. You're lucky to see the top fighters out more than once a year. It's pathetic. But this latest narrative, that he doesn't defend his world title is a bit unfair with all the actual context there to consider.

I'd also remind folk that AJ has only fought once in the last 20 months.

As for the OP - again, even as a huge Fury 'fanboy', I take everything he says with a pinch of salt.

Although he is usually bang on the money regards what he's going to do. In other words, beat everybody.

Fingers crossed both he and Joshua get through their defences and we see them fight next year. I really don't care about them fighting anyone else.

I think a big problem is how much the fighters & especially the Brits get paid. I think they lose their hunger. Fury, Joshua, Saunders, Khan, Brook etc whether it’s drugs, weight, personal problems. There always seem to be excuses why they aren’t in the ring.

You look at the best American’s, Mexican’s, Jap’s, Kazakh’s etc & they never seem to be more than a stone overweight & all seem to fight more often.

Half of our fighters seem to need a camp to lose weight before they start sparring & getting fight ready.

There’s no way anyone can convince me that Joshua & Fury get the best out of themselves only fighting once or twice a year.

I just wish they’d all got a mindset like Josh Taylor where they want the biggest fights ASAP, they’re ready to go whenever & we don’t get months & months of ******** from promoters coming up with reasons why the fights can’t happen yet.

They aren't getting hit/hurt I suppose, and still making millions through other stuff. I don't blame them in a way.

But one of Fury or Joshua actually has the opportunity to go and create a real lasting legacy, the best of their era.

It would be a massive shame if we are all robbed of that.

I've stopped listening to him, I like the bloke but he's been inactive since the wilder fight and all we hear his Eddie's this a.js that, all the trash talking before the saunders fight he did, getting like wwe. Just let's us know when you've laced the gloves up and I'll be interested. Hopefully October 9th goes ahead and he beats wilder again.

Massively struggle with Fury v Wilder III.

How did the fight get put together so quickly? How was a venue locked in like that? Why was Fury so relaxed and happy with the outcome? Why wasn't there an appeal? When have you ever known an adjudicator force a fight like that at such pace?

If you're Tyson Fury and the courts pull that kind of move on you then you're fuming. Not only have you lost out on millions but you've lost out on your legacy defining fight. The opportunity to get the attention that was so deserved after beating Klitschko and an absolutely gargantuan audience.

Sure the real story will come out eventually. But then there's so much talk, talk, talk in boxing we'll still get two different versions. Whatever went on it will be an injustice not seen since Bowe and Lewis didn't fight if it doesn't happen in Spring 2022 - but annoyingly there's tough roads ahead for both fighters for different reasons.

Total circus. Not a big advance on the old Saturday afternoon wrestling on World of Sport!

Like you, I have no idea why it's gone the way it has.

But assuming both he and AJ get through their defences over the next four weeks, surely there's no obstacle to their superfight for next year? With full crowds and so on. A fight of this magnitude cannot be hurt by a little marination. You know that. But I do get the fear from some, that it could go the Lewis/Bowe way, or we end up with them doing a Floyd/Pac and fighting outside of their prime or whatever.

And that'd be a real shame.

I remain hopeful. But as you say, both defences are hardly simple. Some might say it'd be better if one of them loses. Or both. That's the beauty of this murky sport I suppose.

I'd still want to see them both fight regardless of belts. Josh lost to Ruiz but it doesn't stop us from having him up there as one of the best of his era.

Exciting month ahead. It's been too long man!
