Me and the wife are up in Syke next week. One of the days up there we are going on a wildlife trip. Hoping to catch a glimpse of a haggis in the wild.
I went for a walk with the family earlier to the local not long after I posted that post. Across Owston meadow there stood a fox just watching us pass by. I’d only ever seen one fox in my life before I moved here. I think there’s a family of them over the wall from us. Bleeders love raiding our bin on bin day but I’d much rather have that amazing sight of seeing them across the field with a caveat of picking up some rubbish every couple of weeks. I tried to get a pic of it staring at us but just before i got my phone out it shot off into the bush. Just caught it’s tail.
i love foxes, we take all our leftover meat and scraps for some that’s just a few minutes behind us, quite well preserved despite the private equity investors who bought the hamlets and are trying to move the ground so they can build flats on. seen five at once so far, but sadly no cubs, that would be a rare treat. Foxes are a pretty common sight round here.
