I liked him in his time with us and was gutted we messed up the permanent deal. That ship’s sailed though, almost 5 years on now.

I think Morsey and Gomes would have been a good fit for us. I thought he was in the first team squad at Middlesborough but no idea of his current fitness etc. Also I thought Harry After who went to Charlton from Forrest would have been an interesting shout too. Both too old to fit any long term plan but with a younger inexperienced set of team mates maybe they would have added something. Must be some good wages paid in the L1 though looking at Ipswich, Wigan, Sheff Wed signings
Possibly, it doesn't seem like 2 minutes ago he was with us but as someone posted above, it's nearly 5 years ago now. Where does time go!! Also forgot about those comments he made last season which Loko alluded to.
They have hardly spent anything as they have made a good bit of cash from sales. Bringing in over a dozen players in one transfer window was daft though. I get the squad needed freshening up, but not that quickly. They are struggling to gel so far.

Bonkers by them. They had a lot of deadwood for Cook to show the door to and have brought in some decent players especially for that level. But it's a heck of an ask to change so many players so quickly and challenge straight away for promotion, which will be what's expected of them.
