Nice 6-0 loss for the U23.

 

I just checked the First Team squad on the official site and I see Daniel Jinadu, Jason Sraha and Cameron Thompson have been added from the U23s.

I'm not sure if this is a permanent promotion, as I've seen U23 players added / deleted earlier this season, but I was just intrigued.

 

I'll keep saying it. Unless someone is 6 months from their contract being up, or the club is about to go bust, £1.2m is peanuts in today's market.

Kane came on in the second half at Bournemouth and put in an excellent performance in what was one of the more important games of the season. Unfortunately, Ismael preferred Halme in games that he felt would see the opposition go direct against us, so we didn't see him again for a while, then he got injured.

It's far too early to call his signing a flop.

 

Fosberry was a flop.

 

Kane and Miller played 45 minutes for the U23s today, which suggests both are in contention to be in the squad for Saturday. Neither impressed particularly but they were part of a very young team who were totally out played...

 

I personally wasn't calling him a flop.. l was pointing out you trying to compare him to Christie-Davies and that there's 1.2million reasons why that's not a great comparison ..

Does bring in to question the quality of the recruitment team over such an expensive signing who barely features..

 

Once he comes to terms with the loss and gets rid of the hair, I think we'll see a different player

 

But 1.2m isn’t that much these days. There’ll also likely to be extra outlay on ICD on signing on fee and wages. They were both signed in the same window and play the same position. They were both signed for the first team squad. One has been on the fringes and had injury problems. The other has been nowhere near, sent to Slovakia on loan then the u23s on his return. Yet we have a thread asking how much of a flop Kane is.

Few different type of goals, a fully fit Kane will be an asset I think.

 

Aside from the fact that we don’t know if the whole fee was up front or included performance related add ons, you can’t use the fee to gauge expectation of him.

If the expectation was that he would come in and hit Mowatt’s levels straight away, Liverpool would’ve got 5m+ for him.
